REFERENCES:y Records, per Rutgers Universityseph Thatcher, Sr. listed as excutor. This confirms that wife of Joseph Thatcher was Margaret Hull. Joseph Thatcher, Sr. renounced his executorshiop 29 Jan 1769 and was replaced with Moses Hull (one of sons of Margaret). Witness to will was Bartholomew Thatcher (? which one)ritten 10 Jul 1784 or 1785; proved 15 Jul 1791 - Joseph Thatcher Sr. of Hunterdon Co, New Jersey. Mentions bequests as follows:r life, then at his decease to be divided between his two sons, Abel and Charles. Should grandson Abel and Charles not come back or die without issue, their sister Hannah to have the place and if she die without issue then her sisters, Grace and Margaret to have it.ah and Marynary war (thus the reference to "if they should come back since they were in exile in Nova Scotia or elsewhere), New Jersey - lists wife as Margaret and sons Moses (eldest), Gashins, John and Daniel and daughters Patience Williamson (wife of William Williamson); Margaret Thatcher; Mary Anne Crane (wife of Walter Crane) and Johannah South (wife of Edmond South).bout 1730. He lived in Maidenhead, Lawrence twp, up to 1741 and then Amwell twp. He appears in minutes of common pleas court Vol 1733-1736.us King and Samuel Holcombe petition court for land division. They hold 1/2 interest in 150 acres of land given by Joseph to his son Bartholomew during Bartholomew's natural life and upon his death to be divided tohis sons Charles and Abel (i.e. Bartholomew's death before Oct 1817). The petitioners control the land of Charles and Abel is deceased (before Oct 1817) with minor children "some of which are minors under the age of 21 years".
