Land located about 1 mile from Baptisttown, 9 cattle, and 8 pigs (exempt). 1780 William Thatcher, Sr with 150 acres, 3 horses, 9 cattle and 20 pigs. - son Nathanial, son Bartholomew and daughter Nancy who married Samuel Everett.mation from records of administration of Nathaniel Thatcher who was appointed successor administrator of his father estate on 11 Aug 1810. He was appointed by George C. Maxwell of Flemington, New Jersey.x (of Hunterdon Co, New Jersey) sell to Abel Thatcher (of Hunterdon Co, New Jersey) land in Kingwood twp next to Bartholomew Thatcher's land in the amount of 117 acres. This is "part of a tract of land which the council and general assembly of the State of New Jersey did exhort the said Nathaniel Thatcher and Peter Fox (the present Grantors), trustee's to carry into effect the will of William Thatcher, deceased, by an act dated 19th of January last. ? if this will of William Thatcher, Sr. or William Thatcher, Jr.x (of Hunterdon Co, New Jersey) sell to Bartholomew Thatcher 17 acres (more or less) with witness being Abel Thatcher.

Note: William Thatcher, with his 2 brothers, James and Jeremiah, cameto America from England. William purchased of one of the oldproprietors a tract of land located on the road leading fromFrenchtown to Baptistown about one mile from the former place.It has been cut up into 4 or 5 farms and lots. William Thatchermarried Margaret Taylor, a sister to John, the father of EdwardTaylor. They were the grandparents of John V., Mahlon N., andGarner Thatcher.
