Notes for Lorana THATCHER

REFERENCES:holomew Thatcher and Elizabeth were English. They had 17 children of whom 11 have been identified. Some were Baptist and some apparently Quaker. One daughter, Lorana, wife of William Allen, whose will written 06 Nov 1815 and proved 14 Jan 1818 mentions 11 of her nephews and nieces and makes John Slater (probably a nephew) executor of her estate. One is referred to as the son of my brother William Thatcher which proves her identity. No trace of Lorana and/or her husband has been found. (note by JTS - apparently she had no children. There is identified a John Slater who was husband of Mary Ann Thatcher who was a daughter of Bartholomew Thatcher and Rachel Vorhees. ? if this the John Slater who was executor of estate of Lorana Thatcher Allen.rdon) and then film # 0466555 - Will # 2921 J (1818) Will of Lorana Thatcher Allen: Bequeathsr)f Samuel Slater)d 1841
