Note:
1900 Left the Roaring River Community and went to Russell County, KS 1905 Moved his family to Coffeyville, KS 1911Moved back to Russell County 1915 The prarie took its toll on Ida so the family moved by covered wagon (3 week trip) to Tanyard Holler (North of Filmore's Bridge near Joplin, MO). 1916 George got a job building the road west from Filmore's bridge to the Kansas state line. 1920's George and Ida decided to move back to Coffeyville, KS for better work and to be near his mother. George worked 2 jobs, one at the brickyard and one at a plant were railroad cars were made.

In 1922, they moved to Collinsville, OK where Charlie Hoyt lived. Work was so scarce that the entire family had to work helping farmers clear land. Within a year, they moved back to Joplin, MO and moved into a 2-story house across the street from Aunt Lizzy Mason. George worked hauling lumber for a lumber yard.
