Oliver & Company's Dodger

The first time I watched this movie- if its humanly possible, I totaly missed that it was the Oliver Twist story, I think I just had my wisdom teeth out though, so I suppose I can't totaly beat myself up. Oliver is a tiny kitten who nobody takes from the box full of them on the streets of New York City, he starts wandering around and bumps into a streetwise, cool-talking mutt called Dodger (yeah!), who uses him to obtain some hotdogs, then leaves him behind. Oliver follows him to his hideout full of a pack of rag-tag dogs belonging to a sleezy-looking man who owes money to the 'bad guy'. Dodger sort of owns up that Oliver helped him, and the kitty is accepted into their band. When they go out on the job, though, Oliver finds himself wooed by a little girl, and goes home with her. The gang and Dodger set out to 'rescue' him from his happy home, and the sleezy-man, who is actualy a sweet guy, tries to ransom the little girl for Oliver to get the money to pay off 'bad guy'. She comes, and is kidnapped by 'bad guy', the gang save her, and walk off into the sunset, heros.
Dodger is older then the Artful Dodger from Oliver!, as I think he has a girlfreind in the gang, and tries to flirt stupidly with passing by female canines *chuckle*. Its the same idea though- compared to Oliver, he's slick, stylish and care free, winning Olivers admiration and freindship.

Why Should I Worry?

One minute I'm in Central Park
Then I'm down on Delancey Street
From the Bow'ry to St Marks
There's a syncopated beat

Whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo
I'm streetwise
I can improvise
Whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo
I'm streetsmart
I've got New York City heart

Why should I worry?
Why should I care?
I may not have a dime
But I got street savoire faire
Why should I worry?
Why should I care?
It's just bebopulation
And I got street saviore faire

The rhythm of the city
But once you get it down
Then you can own this town
You can wear the crown

Why should I worry?
Why should I care?
I may not have a dime
But I got street savoire faire
Why should I worry?
Why should I care?
It's just bebopulation
And I got street saviore faire

Ev'rything goes
Ev'rything fits
They love me at the Chelsea
They adore me at the Ritz

Why should I worry?
Why should I care?
And even when I cross that line
I got street savoire faire

Whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo, whoo
