| Matthew Perry's Biography: Matthew Perry was born on August 19, 1969 in Williamstown, Massachusetts and almost became a professional tennis player before acting bug caught him. Once Perry made acting his profession, the actor move to Los Angeles where he had a string of roles on such sitcoms as Charles in Charge, Growing Pains and Silver Spoons. Tired of starring in bad sitcoms, Perry decided to write his own pilot about six friends hanging out in a coffee shop entitled Maxwell's House. Though Universal opted to pass on his idea, it did offer him a role in a similarly themed sitcom called Friends. The enormous succes of Friends has opened a number of doors for Perry and since then he has appeared in such movies as Fools Rush In, Almost Heroes and The Whole Nine Yards. |
