| No matter what anyone says about this album its a classic. After the first listen you come to think its just an average sounding album. After the third listen it will have you hooked totally. This is regarded as one of the best hip hop debuts ever and it doesnt disapoint at all. The best cuts are " N.Y State Of Mind" and " lifes A Bitch". To any massive Nas fans out there who havent got this album yet u dont know what ure missin go get it right away. RATING = ***** |

| This album from Nasir Jones is a very strange one. The first song is " The Message" this is a brilliant rap with a classic Nas sounding beat. The Next however is a commercial sound from Nas we dont expect and it doesnt really go with the album. The stand out song on this album though is the dope " Gave You Power" a powerful meaningfull classic. listen to it. This album is still very superior quality but it does not live up to the first.
