Kesac 6: Past, Present, and Future
OOC: About the Chapter 5 and Kesac waiting '13' days...
I have decided to lower that to three. Before you say 'WAIT' again,
think about it. THREE days in Kesac's perspective. In the snow of
Narshe, you never know how long a day is. Just waiting, Kesac would
think that more time passed than he thought. In reality, only TWO
days passed.
I am trying a new format for this chapter. So, it will be a little
messy...
Kesac 6 starts right after Zap 9...

Present:
Kesac nodded at Zap. Up looked like the only way out. Yet something
about it...up...
-|========-
29 years Past:
"Up the mountain and back."
"You really want to do that?"
"Ready...set...go!"
Kesac began climbing Mount Zozo. He and his brother Rekar were racing.
80 feet left...
60 feet left...
40 feet left...
"Phew...almost there..."
20 feet left...
Kesac emerged on the top of the mountain, ahead of his brother Rekar.
He stopped to catch his breath. Rekar was still fourty feet behind.
Kesac began the trek down...
"I won..." Kesac had reached the bottom first. "Maybe you should just
give up challenging me..."
Rekar puffed, "No...I will beat you...some day..."
Kesac nodded. "Maybe you will, Brother. Maybe you will."
-|========-
Present:
Kesac slashed through the wall above him. "Uh-oh..." Four Beamers had
come around the corner. "What in the world? Walking ray guns?" Kesac
thought. "Maybe these things just need a good whapping." Kesac began
to ready his sword for a flash strike.
Suddenly, four lasers fired by Kesac. "Woah!" Kesac struck at the
beamers. Three of them were reduced to scrap metal. One still
remained. Zap yelled "Watch out!" Zap had engaged some other
machines to the back. The beamer started to fire...
...and was sliced in two by a sword. A sword...out of the shadows.
A warrior jumped out of the shadows. "That beamer almost got you. You
remind me of someone...
Zap turned his head. "Who are you?"
The man replied: "You don't need to know."
Kesac interupted: "We don't need to waste time in this place of
death. We need to head toward the center of the Giant. And the
destruction of it."
-|========-
A little while later...
Suddenly, an annoucement came over the loudspeakers of the Giant:
"All hands hear this, this is your Commander Dom
speaking. The possible destruction of the giant has left me
with only one choice: evacuation of all personnel. I repeat,
evacuate the robot immediately. Utilize the nearest escape
pods availible, or proceed to the mass shuttles in the
Shoulders. Once more I repeat, evacuate to the robot.
Although I do not plan to go down with the ship, I ensure
you I will not leave until all personnel have been accounted
for. That is all."
Sirens started to blare around the trio.
Kesac thought of the Prophecy:
*The Giant must be destroyed, or it will destroy you.*
"Aha!" Kesac shouted. "The Giant must be DESTROYED! Not necessarly
by me, but the Giant will be destroyed SOME TIME. It doesn't even have
to be in this time!"
"Let's get out of here!" Kesac shouted.
-|========-
Speed was a critical factor now. Kesac, Zap, and the mysterious man
all ran down the hall, hoping to find an escape pod or another way out.
Something around him seemed familiar...but that made no difference
now.
"Look! An escape pod!" The trio ran to the escape pod. "Everybody
in!"
-|========-
Inside the escape pod:
"How do you work this thing?" Kesac asked.
The mysterious man replied: "Here. You push this button..."
The escape pod jettisoned away from the Giant and landed about one
thousand feet from the Giant. Everyone got out of the pod. "Whew...
that was close." Kesac said. Kesac looked at the Giant and thought
about the future. Challenges such as this could wait in the future.
Kesac turned to thank the mysterious man. "Thank yo..." But he had
disappeared.
-|========-
Kesac turned to Zap. "Each his own way. I hope we shall meet up in
the future." Zap replied, "Doubtful. The world trembles in
devastation. Violence is everywhere. The hunt still ravages on. A
hunt I no longer run from. May the gods have mercy on your soul."
Kesac turned and walked into the sunset, not knowing what the next
day would bring...

OOC: Sorry this took so long in coming. With the ISP crash and the
change of address, this was delayed even more. This also ends
the Prophecy arc. Kesac 7 and beyondwill explain more about
this 'mysterious man'. See you then.
