Friends or Enemies? An eerie calmness swept over Morbia, until a not-so-happy kitty arrived home.

"Reeeeeeoooowwwww! Every time.......every time I try to destroy Agrabah, that
street rat and his friends come in the way. There has to be some way around
them. But how? How? If only they wouldn't fight me, like if they were busy
with something else. If they would be two busy fighting each other.......they
wouldn't cooperate and they would let Agrabah fall to it's doom. I can't
believe I didn't think of it sooner!"

An evil cackle filled Morbia and Mirage prepared for her next plan. She
walked around her main platform that overlooked all of Morbia. It was dark
and dreary and Mirage like it like that. She walked over to a small table
with a bowl filled with water on it. She made a hand motion over the bowl and
she saw Aladdin and his friends sleeping. She smiled to herself, and made
another hand motion, but this one took longer.

She then changed the picture in the water, and it showed Jasmine. She made
another swift hand gesture and closed the portal. The pictures were gone and
Mirage turned around and made a major picture of Agrabah.

"Sweet dreams."

The next morning, the streets were filled with the sounds of busy people
walking through the market place, just like any other day. When Aladdin
awoke, he felt more irritated then he ever did before in his life. He didn't
feel like talking to any of his friends, or even seeing them, they made him
angry just sleeping there. After a few minutes, Iago and Abu woke and Genie
slithered out of his lamp.

Everybody in Aladdin's hovel stretched and didn't say a word to each other.
That silence was broken by Iago. He and Abu were fighting over a pillow.

"Give......that....back.....you....smelly primate!"Iago hissed while tugging
at the pillow

Abu chattered something that sounded like "no way, mine!"

Carpet crossed his tassels, and started to pull at the pillow himself. Genie
scratched his head and looked at Aladdin who was watching Abu and Iago.

"What's wrong with them?" Genie asked Aladdin

"How should I know!? God Genie, just leave me alone!" Aladdin yelled at Genie
as he walked out his hovel and passed Iago, Abu and Carpet still fighting
over a pillow. Genie watched in amazement as Aladdin disappeared around the
corner.

"Was it something I said?" Genie asked himself. He turned his attention back
to his other angry friends who were ripping each other apart for a pillow.

Aladdin walked down the market place, looking for something suitable to eat.
He didn't feel like going back to his hovel and seeing them. As he looked
around at the different shops, he noticed Jasmine walking down the street.
She also seemed to be looking for something to eat.

Aladdin thought to himself for a moment, no matter what, he could never be
mad at Jasmine.  At least that's what he thought.

"She'll understand." Aladdin muttered to himself as he approached her. He
tapped on her shoulder and she turned around and faced him. She did not have
a happy statement on her face when she saw Aladdin.

"Jasmine? You will never guess what just happened! The guys are so--"

"I don't want to hear it Aladdin! Just go away! I don't want to hear about
your problems anymore!" Jasmine yelled to him

Aladdin was saddened for a moment and then rage to it's place. His eyes
glared at her, but she only turned her head and began to walk away.

"Fine! Be that way.....princess! I'm sorry to disturb your time, your
majesty." Aladdin yelled back at her. Jasmine stopped in her tracks and her
eyes slowly glared. If anything, she hated to be called princess like that,
especially from Aladdin. But she knew how to retaliate.  She turned around to
the direction Aladdin was, and looked him straight in the eye.

"Better a princess, than a street rat." Jasmine shouted

As soon as the words left her mouth Jasmine felt like taking them back
immediately. She knew nothing hurt Aladdin more than that name, but those
feeling were once again replaced by hatred and anger, and she turned around,
snapping her long hair behind her and walked off.

Aladdin couldn't believe what she had just said. He stood there, frozen with
his jaw dropped as he watched her walk away. He had a quick disappointed
feeling overwhelm him of loss and rejection, but he quickly reminded himself
of what she had just said to him, and his temper rose again.

He turned around the other direction and walked off. For a short moment
Aladdin and Jasmine stopped and looked back, but quickly shook their heads
and continued walking on.

Genie suddenly appeared in front of Aladdin who did not look to happy.

"Hey, Al.....what's wrong?"

"What's wrong!?  What's wrong? I'll tell you what's wrong, the princess and I
just had a fight! There, now....are you satisfied!? Aladdin yelled and
stormed passed Genie.

Genie's eyes widened and he looked at Aladdin in shock. He had never referred
to Jasmine as "the princess" before, except when he was first telling Genie
about her. Genie realized something was terribly wrong around here. All of
his friends were fighting over a pillow and his best buddy had a fight with
Jasmine, which he'd never had before, and he was mad a Genie for no reason.

He was going to run up to Aladdin to stop him, but he caught something out of
the corner of his eye. It was one of Mirage's fire cats. It was hopping on
buildings, and setting them on fire.

"Al! Al! Look, EVIL KITTIES! Come on Al, we have to go stop them!"

"Why should I do it? You're the Genie! You go stop them, I don't care."
Aladdin said to Genie as he continued to walk, without even glancing at the
fire cats.

"Al......buddy......what's wrong with you!? " Genie asked Aladdin as he
poofed in front of Aladdin causing him to stop.

The streets were filled with screams and cries from people trying to run and
hide for the cats, but it didn't even faze Aladdin.

"Oh, my plan is working perfectly, Aladdin, the 'hero', doesn't care about
his city anymore, he doesn't even care about his precious Jasmine either!
Could I ask for more!? Hummm, seems like the only one not effected by the
spell, was the Genie. He could be a problem, but it'll take him until
Agrabah is turned to rubble for him to figure out how to save them." Mirage
gloated to herself and then peered into her water bowl to watch more of the
destruction.

Genie watched Aladdin continue walking on back towards his hovel. Genie
quickly multiplied into twenty genies and sent them through out the city to
take cat or the fire cats. The original Genie reflected back on everything
that had happened today and thought to himself.

~What is wrong with everybody? And Al? There has to be a spell under effect,
and my guess is, MIRAGE! ~

Genie thought for a moment on going to tell Aladdin, but he knew he wouldn't
listen to him. By now, guards were all over the city and trying to fight off
the evil cats, it seemed to be working, until the cats started to multiply.
He looked up at the palace and saw Jasmine standing on her balcony looking
over Agrabah. Genie snapped his fingers, a  light bulb appeared over his head
and in a flash, he was gone.

Aladdin reached his hovel and saw his friends still were fighting over that
stupid pillow. Iago was trying different techniques to get the pillow, but
Abu had a good grip. Aladdin sighed and looked out his window and sat down on
the ledge. He looked over the city that was getting destroyed, and shrugged
it off. He looked away and felt a bitter feeling in his stomach.

Aladdin knew something was wrong with all of this, but he didn't care, or did
he? He couldn't place his thoughts away from his feelings, he was so
confused. Suddenly a picture of Jasmine appeared in front of Aladdin.

"Genie! I'm not in the mood for your games!" Aladdin shouted out. Genie was
no where to be found. Aladdin reached out his had to touch the picture, but
it disappeared. Aladdin frowned and looked around his room trying to spot the
blue genie, he still wasn't there.

He sighed again and thought of Jasmine. He was really sorry about what he
said to her, but he didn't want to admit it to anyone. He then thought of
what she said to him and his heart filled with anger. He was so confused and
he didn't know what to do.

He looked down in the alley below his hovel and saw Jasmine. She was being
chased by a fire cat! He stood up and watched her run, that was it, he ran
down the steps of his hovel and turned the corner and down the alley he had
seen Jasmine. The fire cat had her cornered and was about to attack her.

Aladdin suddenly felt a warm feeling flow through him and his feeling of
hate, annoyance and anger passed. He felt like normal again, he sighed and
then turned his attention back to Jasmine. Her and the Fire Cat disappeared.
Genie took their place instead.

"GENIE!? What happened? Where's Jasmine!?" Aladdin demanded, but not mad.

"Don't worry Al, it was a Mirage, I figured it would snap you out of your
mood. I think you were under one of Mirage's spells."

"Is that why I've been feeling so.........depressed?" Aladdin asked him

"I think so. You seemed more than depressed to me. I just did the same thing
to Jasmine, she snapped out of it too. She's on her way here Al."

"Jasmine.....oh no. What did I say to her?"

"Well, let me put it this way Al, don't call her "princess" for a while!"

"Ohhhh....She's never going to forgive me." Aladdin said to Genie as he
rubbed his head

"I already did." said a familiar voice

"Jasmine!"Aladdin yelled out as he ran over to her, picked her up, and swung
her around.

"Aladdin, I'm so sorry for what I said, I really didn't mean it! I hope
that--"

Jasmine couldn't finish her sentence as she found herself embraced in a kiss
with Aladdin. They both realized they were under a spell and didn't mean a
thing they said.

"Genie......I have to apologize to you too. I'm sorry for the way I acted and
I--"

"Al, don't worry about it, besides, I think we have other things to worry
about." Genie reminded him as he pointed to the Fire Cats still reeking havoc
all over Agrabah. Jasmine, Aladdin, and Genie all took off running towards
the cats in hope they could beat them.

"Reeeeeeeeeoooooowwwww! Cursed Genie! Next chance I get, I'll slice him in
half! No matter, they can't beat all my Fire Cats! Ha ha ha ha!"

"Wait Genie, the guys are still fighting! We have to stop them!"Aladdin said
as he stopped by the entrance to the way up to his hovel.

"Don't worry Al, I took care of it, like I did you two. I showed all of them
something that would "scare them straight". I showed Iago Thundra being hurt,
Abu saw you getting hurt Al, and Carpet just needed an extra dose of genie
juice to snap out of it."

"Oh..great job Genie!" Aladdin said just as Carpet flew out and had Iago and
Abu sitting on him. Jasmine and Aladdin gracefully jumped on Carpet and they
soared high above Agrabah to view the damage.

"Are you guys ok?" Aladdin asked Abu, Carpet and Iago.

"Yeah, I think so. Hey genie.......next time you're going to scare me to
death....DON'T!!!!!!! " Iago screeched into Genie's ear.

"Genie, how do you think we should beat those cats?" Jasmine asked him

"Yes, you blue dolt, how do you plan on saving Agrabah? He he he." Mirage
chuckled to herself while watching them in her water again.

"Well, if I remember correctly, the best way to beat evil incarnates, is to
pour pepper over them. If I'm right, they'll sneeze themselves out of
existence." Genie explained

"Reeeeeeeeooooooooowwwwwww! No! You're not supposed to know that!!
How?"Mirage yelled into the bowl and then splashed the water. The image of
Agrabah and everybody disappeared. Mirage sat in her chair and began to mope.

"Great! We got a plan!" Aladdin said to everybody on Carpet.

Genie turned into a pepper shaker and zapped in four bags of pepper. He also
transported bags to all the guards with a note on it that told them to pour
it on all the Fire Cats they came across.

Carpet swooped over all of Agrabah little by little and they eventually
destroyed all of the Fire Cats. They would get a sniff of the pepper, pull
their heads up, sneeze, and *poof* they'd be gone.

When all of the cats were gone, Aladdin, Jasmine and their friends went back
to Aladdin's hovel. They said all of their apologies to each other for they
way they acted to each other. Aladdin and Jasmine said the most apologies,
mostly to each other for what they said.

After Aladdin and Jasmine kissed for a few sweet minutes, Carpet took Jasmine
back to the palace because it was getting late. Genie and Aladdin started to
get ready for bed when they heard faint arguing. Abu and Iago were fighting
over a pillow again.
