"XERXES!!.......Where are you!?" Mozenrath screamed still confined in his
cell.
He had been in there for maybe a few hours after Genie had put him in there
after a battle between Mozenrath, Sistine and the gang. He was calling to his
familiar who was searching for the key to the cell.
"When I get my hands on all of them they are going to be so sorry they ever
did this to me."
The cell was very small with two benches and a tiny window overlooking the
city of The Land of the Black Sand. Mozenrath was getting very impatient. His
gauntlet was gone, he was trapped, and he was waiting for the blasted eel.
"XERXES!!!" Mozenrath screamed once more. His throat was beginning to hurt
from yelling so much. His voice was cracking and his mouth was dry. Still no
sign of Xerxes.
He looked out the minute window once again but that didn't keep him occupied
for long. He saw his mamluks on patrol and the hazy sky was still resting
above his kingdom. Everything seemed fine and in order.
Finally, the eel came around the corner with a key in it's mouth. It
slithered over to the cell and dropped it at Mozenrath's feet. He quickly
picked it up and tried to unlock the lock that was on his door. With great
success, he opened it within a few moments and rushed out the cell.
Mozenrath ran up to his library with Xerxes right behind him. He walked over
to his bookshelf and looked upon the hundreds of rows containing his most
valuable possessions, his spell books. He walked up and down the rows until
he found the right one.
"Master look for something?" Xerxes asked
"Yes...Xerxes. I figure I can use the Sibbergan to help me find my gauntlet."
Mozenrath mumbled as he flipped through the pages of his book.
"Why Master need that?"
"Because you dolt, the Sibbergan tells you whatever you need to know if you
ask it. But, it is unfortunately like an Oracle, you can only ask it one
question."
Mozenrath finally came upon the page he was looking for and put it on his
stand. He lit a candle that was close by with one of his few matches. It
sparked, then finally grew into a large flame. He motioned Xerxes to move
back, he did, and Mozenrath began to chant the spell that would awaken the
Sibbergan.
"Sibbergan, hear me, I have a question to bestow upon you.
Sak ne ver tosea ne kaver
alean postrus co ven apure!"
With that simple chant, a purple light began to glow several feet away from
Mozenrath. It was at eye level with him and it grew into the shape of a
sphere. A face took form in the middle of the circle and it's eyes opened.
"What do you have to ask me Mozenrath, Lord of the Black Sand?"
Mozenrath paused a moment, astonished that it knew his name, and then thought
of how to word his question.
"Where is my gauntlet, oh mighty Sibbergan?"
"You'll find your gauntlet, that you can,
it's in a tower of Ganastan,"
With that simple quick rhyme, the face, the sphere, the purple light
disappeared. Mozenrath watched it fade away, and then thought to himself for
a moment. He picked up the book and placed it back on his shelf where he had
just pulled it out.
"We're going to Ganastan Xerxes. Let's move." Mozenrath called out to his
familiar.
Mozenrath got on one of his finest horses and took off. He had some food and
water but Ganastan wasn't very far from his Kingdom. He figured maybe and
hour or two at most to reach the city. He didn't care, he needed his power
back.
The ride to Ganastan was very boring to Mozenrath. It was about midnight he
figured and he thought he'd probably be back before sunrise. He wasn't sure
exactly which tower it was in, that's why he had Xerxes.
When they reached Ganastan the streets were empty and there was little light
throughout the entire city. The palace, just like Agrabah's was well lit and
stood out. His jaw dropped as he looked around the city, there were dozens of
towers.
"Well....what are you waiting for? Go get my gauntlet!!" Mozenrath screeched
The horse was overlooking the entrance that was heavily guarded, even at
night. There was no way that they would let Mozenrath into Ganastan. So,
Xerxes had to go while Mozenrath waited.
Xerxes soared off high above the entrance so that no one would spot him. He
sniffed at all the tops of the towers until he came to one that had a magical
entity inside. He slithered around to find an entrance, but all he could find
was one at the bottom. He quickly flew in, not letting anyone have the chance
to make out was he was in the night. He flew up, up, and up until he reached
a platform where the gauntlet rested.
"Stupid Genie." Xerxes chuckled as he placed the gauntlet in his mouth. He
swiftly went back down the tower and out the door. He regained he altitude
once again, to be out sight of the guards.
Mozenrath sat on a sand dune about a half a mile away from the city. He
looked at his bony hand and sighed. He looked out again towards the city and
saw Xerxes flying near to him. He stood up and ran over to the eel, he then
snatch the glove out of Xerxes mouth and put it on.
"Oh yes! That feels so good!" Mozenrath glowed his normal blue light all
around him and pulled the glove on tighter.
"Let's go Xerxes, we have much to do." Mozenrath grabbed the eel and with a
snap of his fingers, he was back in his Citadel. He smiled as he looked at
his gauntlet, almost like Aladdin looks at Jasmine, with love.
Dawn approached and Mozenrath prepared to transport himself to Terpace,
Sistine's home. He wanted his revenge so bad, on all of them. He figured he'd
get to Aladdin and his friends after he settled things with Sistine. It had
been about two days since the whole battle between all of them had taken
place, he was in that cell longer than he thought.
He commanded Xerxes to stay in the Citadel, and with a twirl of his cape he
vanished. Mozenrath reappeared in Terpace, and it was early in the morning.
He walked through the city but dressed himself as a commoner so no one would
recognize him.
He walked up to the palace and asked to see the Princess immediately. The
guard looked Mozenrath over.
"The Princess is not here. She is still in Agrabah."
"Many thanks"
Mozenrath walked out of the city just as he entered and with another twirl of
his cape, he was gone. When he opened his eyes again, he was in Agrabah. The
streets were so busy and full of commotion. He looked around and noticed that
it was about maybe an hour or two before noon. Time was very important to
Mozenrath, since he didn't have very much left.
He ducked into an empty alley way and picked up his cape and disappeared. He
arrived into the palace in an empty guest room. Mozenrath was back into his
normal clothes which made him feel very comfortable. He cracked the door open
just a tad to look out for guards, there were none to be seen. Much to his
delight he had transported himself into an empty wing of the palace.
Mozenrath crept out of the empty room, and slowly walked down the hall. When
he reached the end he noticed two guards standing in the entrance of the
throne room. He quickly leapt out of the nearest window, which was only on
the first floor. He ended up being in the garden, behind a tree and some
flowers. The smell of fresh flowers made him gag and he thought he as going
to be sick.
Mozenrath moved away from the tree and was going to look for Sistine, when
Aladdin, Jasmine and Sistine all walked by. He quickly dove behind the tree
again and caught a part of their conversation.
"Sistine, I'm really glad you decided to stay a little longer." Jasmine noted
"Yeah, me too. I really like it here." Sistine responded. She looked at
Aladdin and then turned away. She knew that they would never be together, and
she already had done so much to the both of them.
Aladdin started talking to Sistine but Mozenrath couldn't make it out.
Jasmine was behind Aladdin and Sistine and that gave Mozenrath the perfect
opportunity. He jumped out from the back of the tree and grabbed Jasmine.
"Ahhhh.....Mozenrath? Let go of me! Aladdin!!!" Jasmine screamed
"Huh, Jasmine! Mozenrath? What are you doing here? Let Jasmine go!" demanded
Aladdin as he walked closer to where he was holding her.
"Ah, no street rat, don't worry, I haven't come for your precious princess,
I've come to settle things with Sistine. And now that I have your attention,
here."
Mozenrath pushed Jasmine away and she lost her footing. She tripped and fell,
but Aladdin caught her before she hit the ground. Aladdin and Jasmine backed
away as Sistine stepped forward with a slight grin on her face.
Mozenrath pulled up his gauntlet and shot at Sistine, but she easily dodged
it. She pulled up her own hands and struck Mozenrath, she hit him good. He
wasn't expecting her blasts to be so strong, and fell back. He got up quickly
and shot back at Sistine, he missed.
Sistine concentrated as hard as she could, and pulled up her hands and
struck. Mozenrath fell back more than a few feet and went unconscious.
Sistine sighed and turned around and faced Jasmine and Aladdin. Mozenrath
woke up and eyed over Sistine who was walking over to Aladdin and Jasmine.
He let a wide smile take place on his mouth and pulled up his gauntlet.
Jasmine saw what Mozenrath was doing and push Sistine out of the way, she got
the blast instead and fell to the ground, unconscious.
Aladdin ran over to Jasmine's side, fear in his voice "Jasmine! Jasmine!
Please wake up! Mozenrath you--"
"I'll take care of Mozenrath." Sistine spoke with an anger in her voice that
made Aladdin take her very seriously.
Sistine glared at Mozenrath and walked over to him, she concentrated as hard
as she could and summoned all her magic that she had in her. As soon as she
pulled her arms down to hit Mozenrath, he disappeared. All anybody heard was
his voice echoing through out the garden,
"I'll be back, and I'll get you Sistine!"
Sistine took in a deep breath and sighed, she forgot for a second about
Jasmine and Aladdin.
"Jasmine, please please wake up! Sistine, help her." Aladdin pleaded
Aladdin was holding Jasmine's head up and he was stroking the side of her
face. Jasmine's breaths were getting very light and it was getting very
difficult for her to breathe. Aladdin felt his eyes burn and thought he was
going to cry, his eyes started to water and his throat stung.
"I don't know what I can do Aladdin, but I'll try."
Jasmine took in a breath and stopped breathing. He head fell to one side and
she was still.
"Jasmine!? NO! JASMINE! Sistine! She stopped breathing! "
Sistine concentrated once again and gently place her hands on Jasmine's arms.
After a few moments, Jasmine started to glow the same pink color that was
around Sistine's hands. Both of their eyes were closed and there seemed to be
no difference in Jasmine's condition.
Suddenly, Jasmine's chest rose up and her eyes flickered. She took in a deep
breath and sat up. Sistine sat back and sighed.
"Jasmine! You're ok! You did it Sistine!"
Aladdin hugged Jasmine and then gave her a kiss. Sistine hugged Jasmine who
kept thanking her. Aladdin wiped his eyes and smiled at Jasmine. They all
stood up and looked around the garden, and then looked back at Sistine. She
was looking down at her hands in awe, she couldn't believe the feeling she
had.
"What's wrong Sistine? Are you hurt?" Jasmine asked
"No, actually, I feel like my powers are stronger. It feels great."
"How do you think that happened?" Aladdin asked her
"Well, I read this brief caption in the spell book, but it didn't sink in to
me until now. My powers grow stronger with the more people I help with it,
and they weaken the longer I go without." Sistine explained
"Seems like Mozenrath hasn't helped many people lately." Aladdin chuckled
"Well, what are you going to do now Sistine?" Jasmine asked
"I guess I'm going to go and help people all over the seven deserts, once I
feel my powers are strong enough, I'll beat Mozenrath, once and for all!!"
Sistine told them in excitement
After a few hours, Sistine loaded up her things and got on her horse to head
back to her kingdom, and then help people in need with her powers. She rode
out of the palace and waved to Aladdin and Jasmine who were standing on the
steps with their arms around each other.
As she rode through the desert she thought about everything that had happened
to her and her new friends and what she would do now. She knew Mozenrath had
to be defeated, and she thought she was perfect for the job.
