Trigger and Buttermilk
Triggers original name was Golden Cloud. He was an actor before him and Roy became insperable. In 1938, Golden Cloud played  "Trigger" for the first time in Washington Cowboy, in which Roy Rogers played the cowboy. Roy liked the horse so much that he bought him. Trigger was an extremely easy going stallion. He was smart and preforms him tricks well in fron of the camera. Trigger was also fast, thats where he gets him name Trigger from. Roy and Trigger went along and made quite a bit of movies. When Trigger went into retirment, his son Trigger Jr. took him place.Trigger had a long happy life, he died ar the age of 28. Roy loved him so much that he had him stuffed in his famous rearing pose and placed in a museum., at the Roy Rogers Museum. Trigger died in 1965.
Buttermilk was Dale Evans horse. He was a side kik to Trigger, althogh a lot smaller, he would make up for height in speed. Dale, during the shoots would have to hold back Buttermilk since he was gallop faster than Trigger. Dale  said that buttermilk had  a big choppy stride and she had to take lessons before she was able to sit him well. Buttermilk was loved so much by his owner that she stuffed him and placed in in the Roy Rogers museum along side Trigger and Bullet, Roy Rogers wonder dog.
