SUSHI - UNIQUELY JAPANESE

A bento meal is Japan for lunch. It is served in a lacquered box, divide into compartments containing different types of food.

Freshness and naturalness are the main principles of japanese cusine. The prime ingredients have remained the same for centuries - seafood, rice, pickled vegetebles and a few simple seasonings such as horseradish and say sauce.
Seasonality and simplicity are other necessities, the chosen ingredient being offered unadorned so that its origins can be seen and appreciated. Presentation is almost as important as the ultimate taste of the dish, and nowhere is this more evident than in the uniquely Japanese food, sushi.
The best drink to go with Japanese food, and with sushi in particular, is beer. Kirin Beer, brewed in Japan for over 100 years,is a prime example of a classic pilsner-style lager beer. It has become one of the world's best selling brands. Its satisfying richness, smooth palate and hoppy aroma are the results of low temperature fermentation and extended maturation.
