![]() Shwaa started out as an idea a few years before I decided to actually make a comic about it. I realize the majority of it is full of inside jokes and characters who are only recognizable by their different hair styles, but I have been working over time to build on their personalities and try to incorporate specific 'styles' for each person, so to speak. When I first started making the comic, I insisted on using colored pencils, because I was too lazy to continue my coloring on the computer, yet still felt that SOMETHING was needed to promote my non-sloth. However, the idea backfired after about ten of them--my pencils weren't of the best quality and I didn't have the perseverance to make each panel detailed to the extreme. From the sketches to the inking to the coloring, the entire process took four to five hours, a whole afternoon. I didn't feel that it was worth it in the end, but I stuck it out for the entirety of the first episode. You can see how I really didn't put my heart and soul into this. Very few panels contain backgrounds and whatever IS behind someone is often slopped together (i.e., the doors in panel three). |
