When I do the comic, I usually make it up as I go along, with no real punchline at the end of the page. Consequently, I often find myself rushed to hurry up and end with a joke that actually deals with the present dilemma. It often falls flat, as I've always believed it did with this particular page. And for the record, it's VERY hard to draw a full form of one of them sitting in a chair. As for the "chaos and carnage" mentioned, I'm not really sure where it comes in later on in the story. I'm sure Shley changed it to "sputtering and bitching." |
