8.10.01 - Well, being the world's laziest webmaster is a tough job...anywho, we finally did it! We recorded our first album about a month ago, and as soon as we get up the energy to make copies, it will be ready for distribution. The Skamps have always been firm in the belief that D.I.Y. is the only way to do it...plus, we're all "livin' la vida broka" and couldn't afford to have the albums pressed elsewhere. The new album is called liquidfirehead - we'll be hawking it at our shows, as well as local record stores.

4.24.01 - Good news! We have a new member! Give a happy howdy doooo to Ryan, on tenor sax! Ryan is formerly of No Reason Given, and we feel privileged to have him aboard. I'm sure he's thanking his lucky stars to have gotten mixed up with a group of such nice young people as us (is that even a real sentence?). Also, given his superior computer skills, he will be taking over homepage duties - but don't you worry, I'll still be here to gab on and on about the goings on in Skamp Town, USA. Gotta run now. I have a final in about fifteen minutes, and I am FREAKING OUT!!! Wish me luck.

4.9.01 - Please forgive me my laziness at updating the homepage. I finally got something akin to a life, but I solemnly (sp?) vow not to forget you, the little people, who made it all possible. :P Well, things have been going great! We tried out a new tenor sax player yesterday, and he rocks. We wrote some new material, and it rocks. We built a new chair using no tools, and it rocks. (Yes, I KNOW that wasn't funny.) We still haven't booked any shows for the summer. As soon as we feel comfortable displaying our new tunes and latest member (member...huh huh...) we'll be back out there, rockin' y'all. Oh, and by the way, Erin is going to be out of commission for a while (she's incorrigible), but you'll be able to hear her on the Skamp CD!!! Yes sirree, we are at this very moment ready to record. Expect to see the CD (hopefully) by the beginning of July. Wow. We'll be like rock stars or something. Later!

2.21.01 - Back again to work on the page - see the revamped lineup section. Even as I battle the queen mother of sinus infections (you should see the shit inside my nose), I still slave and toil over the homepage...for yooouuuuu. Well, as for real news, we haven't practiced in a couple of days, but we're not really worried; our recent practices have been very productive, and when we get out again, we'll have lots of great new material for your listening pleasure. 2.14.01 - Happy Valentine's Day...or something. Mrs. Billy Spunke Skamp and Her Royal Heinous Skamp (Lisa and Myself) are excited about our upcoming trip to Chicago, to see the Blue Meanies. It promises to be a hoot. Rock and fucking roll. Hey, if anyone sees Surly Skamp, please ask her to contact Skamp HQ...she's been MIA for a few weeks and, dang it, we miss the little chigger. No real news this time; I was just starting to feel guilty about not updating the page. So sue me.

1.22.01 - Well, I suppose it's time for me to get my lazy ass back in the lab and start work on the homepage again...urgh...We have been slaving away these last few weeks, and have completed (almost) three new songs. There's not really any more news than that. No one is in jail right now, we're all attending practice regularly, and we're all on speaking terms with each other. All in all, the best we could ask for. :)

12.7.00 - Congratulations to Ben "Monkey Man" Carnahan for his recent unshackling! The release from bondage occurred last night at around midnight, and Ben is now free to roam the streets of Bloomington any time he goddamn pleases. Welcome back, buddy!

12.1.00 - Well, we finally did it - we got together and played...just like old times...sniff... At that practice was the newest addition to our big, happy family - say hello to Lisa "Mrs. Billy Spunke" Skamp! She's formerly of Black Market Pop, and wails on the sax like a wild crazy bushman...but we like her anyway. Snatching up Lisa from the mean streets of Bloomington was just another step in our quest for total world DOMINATION!!!

11.13.00 - New cool thingies for all my peeps - Skamp Chat (it's Skamptastic) and a mailing list...who loves ya, baby? Hmmmm? Oh, and donations are being accepted for the Buy The Webmaster A Winter Coat Fund Drive. If you have any money you would like to throw in (or old newspapers for me to fill my pant legs with), just drop them by Chateau Michelle-et-Ben at your earliest convenience. I'll give you a Fig Newton.

11.2.00 - We have merchandise!!! Check it out here. Oh, and we will be resuming formal practice in the next week or so, which means that we should be back in the thick of things VERY soon. 10.31.00 - Ben and Scott got together and completed a couple of new songs. We've all been pretty chipper, considering that we've not practiced in about two months. We've been resting, storing our energy as the squirrel horde's away it's nuts. Soon, we shall unleash our awesome might upon the unsuspecting citizens of the world!!!
