Story
	No sooner has Dr. Robotniks death egg been knocked clean out of the sky thean Dr. Robotnik starts work on a new superior model: the death egg II. Tails' transformable reconnaissance robot locates the new death egg in outer space and relays images of the monstrocity back to tails' base. Tails desperatly uses all of his technological flare and mechanical skill to construct a spaceship capable of reaching the death egg II. There is only one problem the ship requires the power of the eight chaos emeralds (yes thats right there are 8 emeralds!)  to power it into space and only seats one crew member. The chaos emeralds now are in the hands of eight guardians, sonic the hedgehog, miles 'tails' prower, amy rose, nack the weasel, espio the chameleon, knuckles the echidna, bark the polarbear and bean the dynamite. The duo sonic and tails head to angel island to talk to knuckles and figure out the best cource of action. Knuckles concludes that the strongest persond should go in the space ship, sonic and tails agrees. Knuckles decides that he is obviously the strongest and demands sonic's emerald. Not agreeing with knuckles decision sonic refuses and a fight is looming, when tails put forward the idea of a fighting competion to decide who of the guardians is the strongest, knuckles and sonic rest their arguments and agree with tails' plan.
