Lyrics:
Infomation:
Sold his soul,
Changed his name by deed poll.
Started out as Simon Russel,
Lived his life inside a nutshell
Oooohhhh
Oooohhhh
Couldn't take the public's scorn
Turned from human to plant-form
Now he swapped his legs for roots,
His legs and soil are in cahoots.
Oooohhhh
Oooohhhh
What will become of Simon Diamond?
He can water himself,
But can't change the climate.
What will become of Simon Diamond?
He can water himself,
But can't change the climate.
Oooohhhh
Oooohhhh
That'll do,
That'll do,
That'll do,
That'll do,
That'll do,
That'll do,
That'll do,
That'll do,

The Shadows Fall Single and Track 5 on "The Coral"
Released: 24.07.01 on Deltasonic
A rather odd song about a man
who for one reason or another turns into a plant,
with a nice change of tempo at the end, and a very sing-a-longable outro.
One of the first songs the band wrote.
An updated version features on The Coral, although you really should try and hear both versions.
