FUTURO
INCIERTO is a Hardcore – pop – punk band that’s
been playing since late 1992, It started as a three piece band : Pedro –
guitar / vocals, Yorch! – bass & Alfredo – drum. Its first recording
“Hacia Un Nuevo Camino” (1993), combined positive
lyrics with melodic Hardcore. In 1994 with a more oriented Power – pop
style, and a new drummer (Jose Ruales replacing Alfredo) the band released a
7” E.P. through WARDANCE RECORDS (NYC). However,
musical differences between drummer Ruales and the rest, led the group into
dissolution. The band came back in 1996 as a four piece combo with two new members
: Papa (Lead Guitar)& Igor (drums) and a more powerful sound influenced
by the US west coast Hardcore Punk movement. With this line-up the band recorded
a 12 - song tape “…Tan Lejos”
1997 saw further changes : Rubén Patiño replaced Igor who went
on yo more “stone related” affairs, and a brief participation of
Ricardo Noriega on guitar. That year they released “English Lessons”
a totally English – lyric recording (and their best to date!). On early
1999, they appeared on Calambre Discos Peruvian Punk Compilation
“Menos Mal Que Nos Gusta Lo Peor” CD and recorded
17 songs for what’s going to be their debut cd “Picnic”.

: Whatever happened to “Loco” Jose? Why did such a marvelous drummer
like him leave the band?
Yorch! : Jose “Damballa” Ruales quit the band because
he gone mental!. He now claims to be the new “Tito Puente” (He’s
totally devoted into Latin Cuban rhythms like Conga, calypso, Merengue, Tumbao,
etc.)
DT:
Who writes the lyrics?
Yorch! : Pedro writes the spanish lyrics, but he always consult
the others about what he’s going to write about. The english lyrics are
written by Yorch! (with some help of his bro’ Juan “Chuleton”).
DT: Of the four drummers that have played
with the band (“Morenaje”, “Baphomet” Morales, “Loco”
Jose and Mr. Patiño) which one has fit better with the group’s
style?
Yorch! : Definitely “Loco” Jose. Although Mr. Patiño
smashes the buckets very well (he’s pretty fast!). “Baphomet Morales
was more into Old – style Hardcore, Kinda Orthodox. He’s now into
sumo wrestling and wants to get into WWF or WCW as the “Japanese Slaughter”.
“Morenaje” is now playing with “Negro Huajaja” in a
Festejo combo.
DT: Are you crazy?
Yorch! : If we allowed a mentally – illed like “Loco”
Jose, and a Sumo – wrestler project to play with us, what do you think?.
DT: A different subject : which teams do you see as
favorites to win the 2002 Japan – Korea World Cup?
Yorch!
: We’re going to Brazil. Nobody else. Amateur teams like France
and the Netherlands should pray if they got play with the Cariocas.
DT: Is Mr. Allemant a Real Sado? Is he into Bondage
and S&M?
Yorch! : Actually he’s more into Necrophilia. We’ve
heard that a very common practice at his home (with his parents and grandma)
is shit eating and piss drinking!
He’s influenced by two infamous German videos : “Spergbeitt 10”
and “German Buffer”. He learned everything he knows from those.
DT: We all know that Papa has some alchemistic and
Manichaeistic tendencies that he’s such a pilgrim. Does he ever influence
the band with his thematic?
Yorch! : Absolutely, not!! “Il Bambino” knows that
the must have his mouth shut, otherwise he could get his butt kick!
DT: What horror movies do you recommend?. And which
directors?
Yorch! : Yorch! Is the psycho of the band, he could tell you
more about that.
Definetely : “Psycho”, “The Texas
Chaisaw Massacre”, “The Hills Have Eyes”,
“Rabid”, “EraserHead”,
“Bad Taste”, “Dawn of the Dead”,
“Halloween”, “Last House On The Left”,
“The Evil Dead” and “Suspiria”.
Only true Classics, man!!! (I should stop here, otherwise the list would be
so long that I will need a whole notebook to name everyone). About the directors
I strongly recommend these : Tobe Hooper, John Carpenter, Wes Craven, Sam Raimi,
Peter Jackson, David Cronenberg and Dario Argento. You better take a look at
one of their films. They’re a must for a true gore fan!!!
DT: What can you tell us about the following cartoons
: Mr. Magoo, Cool Mc Cool, Felix The Cat, Transformers, Speed Racer, Astroboy,
Dragon Ball, Spiderman (old & new), The Simpsons, Beavis & Butthead?
Yorch! : Dragon Ball? We HATE Dragon
Ball. We can’t stand those wankers praising such a crappy show,
leaving everything they’re doing to watch that shit! It’s unbelievable
how dumb and stupid people could be! They’re like brainwashed or something!
In the band we only watch REAK cartoons like those you wrote above (except for
the shitty “Dragon Ball” and the moronic “Beavies
& Butthead”), but I’m afraid you miss two great shows
like “Ren & Stimpy” and “The
Samurai Pizza Cats” (“Baphomet” Morales loved ‘em).
Pedro says he likes “MACROS” (“Robotech”
here in Peru). Bambino is hopelessly devoted to “Seabert”,
“Gumnby” and the “Teletubbies”.
DT: What can you tell us about the STAR WARS TRILOGY
(including the New Episode : THE PHANTOM MENACE). What do you think about the
ridiculous parallel that STAR TREK fans are doing with STAR WARS?
Yorch! : We all know that you’re a insane fanatic of
the TRILOGY, Armando. And so are we, except for Mr. Patiño
and Bambino. Rubén is into GALACTICA (Apollo and Starbuck
are his gods!!!) and Bambino praises Spock as his role model! Yorch! Still plays
with his STAR WARS toy figures and Pedro is into CHEWBACCA.
DT: What do you think ever happened to the 80’s
Heavy Metal bands? There are some groups that have reunited like QUIET RIOT
and RATT, do you see them some future?
Yorch! : We think that Glam Metal almost killed the Real good
Heavy Metal. Most of us grew up listening to 80’s Heavy Metal. Bands like
KROKUS, JUDAS PRIEST, BLACK SABBATH,
BLUE OYSTER CULT, IRON MAIDEN and a lot more.
But them, it all turned into a fashion show where the most important thing was
how much make-up you wore instead of taking care of the music. A lot of people
‘round here wanted to be the next Brett Michaels, Rikki Rockett, or Tommy
Lee (you might remember very well those days!). In fact Bambino, used to wear
tight pants and tiger t-shirts for a while ,but he found the real way when he
discovered CHAOS UK!
DT: What do you think about MARILYN MANSON, KORN and
PANTERA?
Yorch! : MARILYN MANSON is the most opportunist
person we’ve knew in our whole life. We can’t believe there’s
people out there praising that jerk. Nowadays kids don’t know (and don’t
care) a shit about what a real Rock’n’Roll band should be. “They
want to be different like anybody else!!!” And KORN clones
are everywhere to. How could such a boring group have some sort of success?.
We can’t understand that! And about Pantera? Well, it`s one of the few
that’s really interesting. You know, we’re more into Classics :
AC/DC, MOTORHEAD, SEX PISTOLS,
RAMONES, and stuff like that.
DT: There’s a lot of people that say they are
into AC/DC but don’t like the “FLICK OF THE SWITCH” album.
What do you think of that Rock & Roll gem?
Yorch! : That was AC/DC’s last great
album (with such classics as “This House Is On Fire”,
“Flick Of The Switch”, “Nervous Shakedown”,
“Guns For Hire” and “Bedlam In Belgium”).
Those who don’t appreciate this record are real Idiots!.
DT: Records as “Out Of The Cellar”, “Crusader”,
and “Defenders Of The Faith” were significant to a whole generation.
Are you still listening them?
Yorch! : You bet!! And not only those you mentioned but
“Pyromania”, “One Night At Budokan”,
“Breakout”, “Straight Between The
Eyes”, “Bark At The Moon”, “No
Sleep ‘til Hammersmith”, “Metal Rendez –
Vous”, “Balls To The Wall”, “Bristish
Steel”, “The Number Of The Beast”,
“Perfect Strangers”, “Breakin’
The Chains” and the single “Giulty Of Love”
And only on vinyl!
CHILEAN
ASSAULT I
We
arrived after lunch, in a beer – instrument & camera packed pick –
up. When we reached the place, we saw a bunch of guys wandering near the entrance;
the show was scheduled for 5:00 pm. By the time the gear and lights were installed,
I started preparing the merchandise’s table near acces door. When the
night came, Iwent outside to take some pictures of the place from the front
sidewalk; the people’s line was now turning at the corner of the street.
The delay of an amplifier’s arrival, set back the show’s start for
almost two hours. Outside, the people turned desperate, yelling impatiently
(most of them already got their tickets days before).
When the organizers knew for sure that the amp. was on its way, they decided
to let the people come in. I can’t say much about the supporting bands
(I was busy selling records, tapes, t-shirts and stuff) : FUERZA DE
VOLUNTAD and ASUNTO had very powerful Straight Edge
sound while VADCA and STAILFISH were more
into So. Cal. Hardcore. The skate – punk band 608 – Z gave me a
good impression (actually it was the only one I could pay attention to, though).
When FUTURO INCIERTO got on to the stage, there was so many
people over it that was impossible to see them from the back. I got the chance
to do as an M.C. and announce the band’s start. “Ahora”
was their first song, the rest of the set was composed, mostly, by “Tan
Lejos” and “English Lessons” tunes (both were the best know
tapes there) : “Atravesando”, “Sabor Amargo” “Patty
R.”, “Las Ratas”, “Entre Las Piedras”, etc…
all of them were sung by a totally – devoted and restless crowd. FUTURO
INCIERTO, literally destroyed Santiago. The crowd slammed, jumped,
yelled and sang each and every song (even the English tunes!) turning the show
into a big party. Pedro was raised out by md crowd at the end (same as “El
Señor de los Milagros”, said Fernando… Who the hell is Fernando?)
This was a totally fascinating experience, definitely the best Hardcore show
I’ve ever been! I’ve got all the beer I’ve drunk in my throat
and destroyed hip (because of a wrong stage dive) Santiago’s response
was complete; a great surprise for us and it’s going to remain in our
minds forever. See you next year Santiago!

: Que recuerdos te trae tu banda MITO? tocaste una vez mas con el Loco Jose
Damballa Ruales, que rescatas de esa epoca (principios de los 90's)? Yo aun
conservo Rehearsals de MITO hahahaha !!!! Aparte de los temas propios tocaban
covers de bandas como RAMONES, VIOLADORES, RATT, MOTLEY CRUE algo te traera
a la mente. Quien componia las letras de los temas propios de MITO? temas como
Heroes de la Oscuridad, Aliados de la Paz, La Soledad y Juan Y Maria?
Yorch! : Hahaha... Mira Armando, el mejor recuerdo que tengo
de MITO es que me sirvio mucho para, "literalmente",
aprender a manejar mejor mi instrumento. Claro que sin llegar a ser un Billy
Sheehan, pero si fue un salto radical el de RESIDUOS INORGANICOS
a MITO. Ahora bien, el set de la banda, mirando hacia atras,
no tenia pies ni cabeza. Era un "sancochado" de estilos ya que tenias
a Damballa Ruales, que era un devoto de MOTLEY CRUE, a Jose
Antonio que era un Hibrido entre SODA STEREO y RAMONES
y bueno yo que escuchaba Punk, pero que tambien me gustaba el Metal clasico
como JUDAS PRIEST, SABBATH, los primeros RATT,
etc. Pero esa era la gracia de la banda, tocar lo que saliera. La mayoria de
temas los componia Jose Antonio. Si bien ahora no creo que tocaria en un grupo
asi, en esa epoca (90-91) yo tenia 17-18 anos y creo que fue una buena oportunidad
(y sobre toda una buena experiencia).
DT:
El EP Nueva Vision definitivamente fue un paso muy importante. En USA, Europa,
Japon muchisimas bandas siguen sacando EPS, LPS, porque crees que en paises
como Peru este formato no tiene mucha acogida?, personalmelnte para ti que representa
este EP en la carrera de FUTURO INCIERTO?
Yorch! : Fue bastante importante para la banda editar ese Ep
a traves de WARDANCE RECORDS (NYC) ya que a raiz de eso, y
del review correspondiente en MAXIMUM ROCK N' ROLL, la vision
de la banda cambio. De ser una banda local, que dicho sea de paso casi nadie
apostaba por ella en el 94-95, paso a tener contacto con mucha gente del extranjero.
La correspondencia aumento y eso hizo posible que entraramos en contacto con
gente que en el futuro nos iban a permitir llevar la musica de la banda a otros
lugares del planeta. Como mencionas, En USA, Japon, Europa y Australia todavia
se utiliza el Vinilo. Los grupos, incluso los mas famosos y conocidos, siguen
editando en Vinilo e incluso incluyen temas que no se van a encontrar en los
cassettes o Cd's. En el Peru, como es sabido, no existe cultura musical. Si
tienes grupos que son "famosos" teniendo un background totalmente
delesnable y precario, es logico que no tengan ni idea acerca de lo que es un
vinilo. La tradicion no se mantiene ni se transimite como eno tras partes del
mundo. La gente en Peru tiene una idea equivocada de lo que es la tecnologia.
Te doy un ejemplo: los estudios de grabacion en Peru, en su mayoria, utilizan
Pro-tools y prescinden de material analogo, lo cual esta bien, pero no puedes
pretender ser un profesional si todo lo quieres hacer con un PC y desde tu casa.
En otros lugares, todavia usan cintas de 1/4, 1/2, 1 pulgada para grabar. Es
sabido que el sonido se registra mejor en material analago. La ventaja de "ser"
digital es que el material no se va a deteriorar pero estas sacrificando calidad
ya que estas convirtiendo el sonido en datos. Ahora bien, ser analogo es caro
y como Peru es un pais que esta en crisis permanente es logico que la gente
prescinda de calidad para abaratar costos.
DT:
Sabemos que has visto en vivo a LAGWAGON, NO USE FOR A NAME y a MOTORHEAD, danos
un comentario de cada uno de ellos en vivo que te parecio su show, en lineas
generales cada una de estas bandas?
Yorch! : Para empezar, te dire que no soy fanatico de LAG
WAGON ni de NO USE, aunque este ultimo me gusta un
poco mas que el primero. Lo que paso fue que los vi en el mismo concierto con
BAD RELIGION, MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES, NOFX
y los clasicos THE DAMNED!!! El concierto fue increible y tengo
el mejor recuerdo de Captain Sensible, guitarrista de THE DAMNED.
Sobre MOTORHEAD... que te puedo decir... Fue uno de los mejores
conciertos que he ido en mi vida!!!! Lo mejor fue que estaban en forma (Lemmy
se conserva bien a pesar de toda la mierda que se ha metido a traves de los
años!!!). Tocaron No Class, City Kids,
RAMONES, Ace of Spades, Going to Brazil,
Overkill, Bomber... en fin fue un conciertazo.
Habian hartos punks y el sonido fue de primera!!!
DT:
Que opinas de AVRIL LAVIGNE?
Yorch! : He escuchado bien poco. Solo se que es el tipico producto
MTV marquetado para las masas. Me tiene sin cuidado lo que haga.
DT:
Que representa el Never Mind The Bollocks en el Punk, hay mucha gente que hoy
se dice Punk o dice escuchar Punk y jamas supieron lo que fue el Never
Mind The Bollocks o el Rocket
To Russia, es algo generacional o crees que son piezas fundamentales?
Yorch! : Mira, toda las sociedades pensantes se interesan por
su pasado. Siempre es bueno saber de donde viene uno, cuales son sus raices
y que es lo que sucedio antes para poder evitar cometer errores pasados y tratar
de dar siempre un paso adelante. Lamentablemante eso no se da ahora. Ni en los
EEUU ni en el Peru, aunque en este ultimo no es novedad, ya que seguimos tan
cagados como de costumbre! Si te consideras punk y no tienes idea del Never
Mind the Bollocks o del Rocket to Russia pues... SIN
COMENTARIOS!!!! Conozco gente que dice que es fanatica de the RAMONES
y solo ha escuchado una cancion que se llama The KKK took my baby away.
Inclusive dicen ser fanaticos de MISFITS y no sabe que DANZIG
era el cantante original! Plop!
DT:
Hablanos sobre la Gira South Americana, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, para empezar
en Chile sabemos que tocaron en Stgo y en Valparaiso, en Stgo se presentaron
al lado de VADCA y FUERZA DE VOLUNTAD en lineas generales a comparacion de su
primera presentacion en Stgo que diferencias sustanciales encuentras? En Valparaiso
que tal respondio el publico? tocaron al lado de DIFFERENT WAYS no?
Yorch! : La primera vez que fuimos a SANTIAGO fue impresionante,
pero las siguientes veces que hemos hido ha sido mas grande y mejor!!!! Ademas,
lo buenos es que somos el grupo de fondo y eso no hace sentir bastante bien,
ademas el publico chileno se entrega bastante y conoce tus canciones! VADCA
y FUERZA DE VOLUNTAD son excelentes bandas (al igual que SIN
PERDON!!!)... Valparaiso, la escena es mas ruda, la gente escucha mas
Old School, pero la recepcion fue genial y nos hicimos amigos de los DIFFERENT
WAYS!
DT:
Cuentanos sobre la prentacion de FUTURO INCIERTO en Uruguay al lado de NADA
QUE HACER y 4 NO 1
Yorch! : La gente de NADA QUE HACER fueron
quienes hicieron posible que nosotros fuesemos a tocar a Montevideo. A los 4
NO 1 los conocimos el dia del concierto y el cantante tenia material
de nosotros y nos sorprendio ya que la difusion en Uruguay no ha sido mucha.
La escena en Uruguay era pequeña pero bien organizada y la gente recontra
buena onda!!!
DT:
Que nos puedes decir sobre la presentacion de FUTURO INCIERTO en Bs As al lado
de MALDITOS FLANDERS, MIGRA VIOLENTA y ETERNA INOCENCIA?
Yorch! : La gente de MALDITOS FLANDERS, en
especial los hermanos Esquivel, fueron los que organizaron el concierto. Juan
de MIGRA VIOLENTA era buenisima gente y su banda era recontra
ruda. ETERNA INOCENCIA fue lo mejor que escuche esa noche...
DT:
Se cumplio tu pronostico sobre que Brazil ganararia la Copa del Mundo Japon
- Korea, por ahi le regalaron un penal que no fue penal, su grupo con China,
Costa Rica y Turquia fue una burla, aunque Turquia llego lejos, la cosa es que
Brazil gano la Copa del Mundo, creo que Brazil demuestra realmente en el partido
con Inglaterra y en la final con Alemania definitivamente, a ti cual te parece
el partido mas vibrante del Scratch, fue un justo Campeon?, Korea debio llegar
hasta donde llego? con los robos descarados a España y a Italia?, que
crees que paso con los favoritos Argentina y Francia?
Yorch! : HAHAHAHAHA!!! Brazil es Brazil. Si bien su grupo fue
relativamente facil (China, el equipo mas debil del mundial) desde la segunda
ronda Brazil demostro que estaba para campeon. Como bien dices, le gano bien
a Inglaterra (partidazo de Ronaldihno Gaucho), a Turquia y a Alemania (partidazo
de Ronaldo). Se dio el partido que estuve esperando toda mi vida. Al final gano
el mejor: EL SCRATCH!!!! Sobre Korea, me parece que hubo algo de favoritismo
(aunque los italianos jugaron horrible para variar) y sobre Argentina, pues...
paso lo mismo que con Colombia en el 94 y Peru en el 82 excelente campaña
preparatoria pero pobre desempeño en el mundial. Y tuvieron el descaro
de decir que fueron el mejor grupo del grupo... hahaha. Que devuelvan a Bielsa
a Rosario y se dedique de entero a "Ñuls"!!!!
DT:
Que te parecio EPISODE 2 - Attack Of The Clones?
Yorch! : Me quedo con la trilogia original!!!! Episode 2 fue
mejor que el mamarracho de episode 1 pero todavia falta... Lucas esta en deuda
con los seguidores de STAR WARS!!!
DT:
Si tienes que escoger a uno sin dar una respuesta diplomatica, que por la epoca
no se pueden comparar por ejemplo, o algo parecido, con quien te quedas? Pele
o Maradona y porque? Cuales son tus 10 mejores jugadores de soccer de todos
los tiempos?
Yorch! : Me quedo con ZICO!!!!

Si tuvieras que comparar RAW POWER con NO USE FOR A NAME y THE EXPLOITED
con LAGWAGON?, trata de encontrar algun paralelo o diferencias, ha ha ha, que
nos puedes decir sobre esto?
Yorch! : RAW POWER es una de las bandas mas
pajas que escuche e mi vida. Tenian mas huevos que LAG WAGON
y Cia. Screams from the Gutter y After your Brain
son joyas del Hardcore de los 80!!! Sobre EXPLOITED, solo los
dos primeros discos (Punks Not Dead, Troops Of Tomorrow)...
luego la misma formula que llega a aburrir.
DT:
Quisieras ganar mucho
dinero con tu musica? como todo profesional que es bien remunerado por hacer
un buen trabajo, sobre todo en el mundo del arte, quisieras ser un Rockstar?
Yorch! : I am only in it for the Money!!! HAHAHAHA... Por su
puesto que me gustaria ganar dinero, pero jamas sacrificando mi integridad!!!!
No quiero ser un Rockstar pero quiero Rock n' roll all nite and party everyday!!!
HAHAHAHA!!
DT:
Sabemos que te encanta AC/DC y que tienes incluso los vinylos australianos,
cuales consideras sus 5 mejores discos en orden de gustos para ti?
Yorch! : AC/DC son una de las mejores bandas
que ha existido. Los vi hace poco cuando los incluyeron en el Rock n'
Roll Hall of Fame. Esa misma noche incluyeron a THE CLASH,
ELVIS COSTELLO & THE ATTRACTIONS y a THE POLICE!!!
Me gusta mas la etapa con Bon Scott, pero con Brian
tienen tres discos que son imprescindibles: Back in Black,
For Those About To Rock y Flick Of The Switch!!!!
