Hey, Good News, Good News the van just passed it's safety inspection with flying colours!! No, really!! Not bad for a $200 F%#@ van! Now, if we could just get up a 5% grade or more (damn tranny!)... we'd be laughin'!

The film crew was over today to get some shots of us watching the Subway 500 from Martinsville, and do some pre trip interviews. Things went fairly well (We hope). We found out that the filming will be used to make a pilot tv show about sports fanatics (It will be called "The Super Fan") and a documentary.
Our thoughts go out to the Hendrick Family and Friends after their tragic loss today.

New pictures added! Plus a new page layout.
The van went in to get the tranny rebuilt,
it's gonna cost 3 times as much as what we paid for the whole van in the first place! We're really gonna miss the slippage, I hope some of the burning smells go with it. At least this way we got a better chance of making it to the race.
Oct.30, 2004 Well The Van got a new transmission and water pump yesterday / last night. We want to thank Marc and the gang from GearTech Automotive for all their help and working late to get us on the road in time. Vegas and Phoenix here we come!!
Oct.31, 2004 We hit Vegas at about 10:00 pm. and left there on Nov. 3rd after a stop at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Thats all we're saying!
Nov.03, 2004 Phoenix was a welcome site at 10:00 pm to bad it took until midnight to find our friend Graham's house. Nothing like driving through the hood with "Redneck Racing" on the side of your vehicle!
Nov.04, 2004 After our days in Vegas we needed a day off so this was it. Well kind of (Thanks to the staff at The Candy Store for making even our "day off" memorable)
Nov.05, 2004 Our first day at the track. As anyone who has ever been to a race you know that the only way to describe it is WOW!! The trucks raced and the cars qualified. It was awsome seeing all the drivers, owners and crews up close and in person. We got so many pictures with all kinds of NASCAR people, drivers, crewmen, cars, trucks, you name it. We also managed to get just about every autograph we could ever want.
Nov.06, 2004 The Busch race. We got to watch the race from the infield and up very close. (thank you Mr.X for hooking us up with the passes)
Nov.07, 2004 THE CUP RACE.....again we watched from the infield and were behind Jr's pit when he Won!!!! By the end of the day we all had Jr's autograph, lugs from Jr's car and bought two used race tires. The Van was a huge hit for those that saw it (we ended up parking close but in an area with not a lot of fan traffic). We'll have some new pics to put up very soon.
Dec.05, 2004 Welcome DEI fans as we are now linked to from the Team DEI web site! New links page added.
Dec.16, 2004 Well it took me long enough but there is now some pics up of the Phoenix trip. Sorry it took so long. We were all very tired after and two of us even went on another holliday to re-coop. There will be more in a couple days.
Jan.08, 2005 The guys from the film crew sent us some stills from the upcoming documentary, due out this spring. In the mean time check them out here.Stills
Aug.31, 2005 It's been a long time since our last update. Too long really, theres just been lots going on, in our personal lives, a few things with the movie and a couple trips. We tried like hell to get the movie ready for the Calgary Film Festival, but a couple late additions set us back and one of the film crew had a family member pass away out of town. Things will be ready soon and the Documentary should be ready for Whistler's and Toronto's film fests. With a longer movie screening here in Calgary by the end of the year. The Van made yet another trip to B.C. this July with Kevin and J enjoying some time on the Shuswap with friends. This time we lost the alternator belt about half way back (not like we haven't driven through the mountains before without headlights). Next up is the (what we may end up calling the "yearly trip") trip to Penticton B.C. for a friends yearly softball tournament. We'll be there (yes with The Van) from Sept. 9-11. Check out a couple new pics from the summer and Shuswap trip Summer '05 Pictures along with our NEW "THE VAN" business card.Business Cards doc.
Have a Good One!
Oct. 01, 2005 Well Penticton was a blast as expected. All the regular folks were there and we met a couple new ones (pictures are coming). When we rolled into town J got an addition to his “3” tattoo and the owner recommended a new restaurant / bar to check out. The Speedway Café was havin’ it’s opening night. Owner Johnny showed us a great time (ie. Got us good and wrecked ), the only casualty of the night was J lost his camera (still with pics from SEMA on it.) and Kev woke up with some mysterious road rash on his forehead. We stayed at The Flamingo on main where the owner Tom put up with the whole team and us VAN guys. Thanx Tom, hope you found all the coffee pots and chairs.
Thanx also goes out to the staff at The Blue Mule If you find yourself in Penticton you gotta check this place out.
See you all next year and thanx for a good time team TKO. Big Fish, J-rock aka Domi, Pee Pee Pumpkin, Martha, Wicker Basket aka B-Dog, Gold Medal, Grumpy, Crazy Chuck, Silver Fern, Goggles, Coach and of course ”7”.
Hope to see you all at New Years.....If we're still invited?
