THE STORY SO FAR...

We took a '77 F*$# Econoline and broke out the rollers, Yes I said rollers. Half was painted Red and half Black. We added painted on numbers and sponsorship logos a Spoiler (wooden 2x6), a Hood Scoop (Volvo glove compartment), Ground Effects (rubber baseboard), Front Air Dam (piece of wire mesh), a Plastic Steers Head (a plastic steers head), Fog Lights (flashlights), Destination Sign (kick plate off an old fridge), a Heart Shaped Bunk Bed and Matching Fake Windows, Extra Passenger Seat, and much more. You get the point. Just about any other cheesy accessories you can think of putting on a vehicle and maybe a few more. Check out the Thumbnails

We plan on driving this Thing to the Nov.07, 2004 Checker Auto Parts 500 at Phoenix International Raceway. That is if we make it. After our first road trip to Penticton B.C. we discovered a few "problems" with our new race machine. The V8 under the hood was only running on 7 cylinders, the tranny is slipping in 2nd (like we even have second), and there's a serious exhaust leak. Oh and there's a serious exhaust leak. (sorry I tend to repeat myself a lot after sucking up fumes for ten hours coming back from B.C.) "Entirely my faulttt."

Well we made it here is how the trip went.

Oct.30, 2004 The plan was to leave at 6am....I think it was about 10 when we first got out of the driveway, then we needed fuel and food. I don't remember the exact time we got to the boarder but once there it took some time (can't blame them look at what we're driving). We decided to spend the night in Butte cuz the pass was suposed to be bad and our headlights were going off and on by them self.

Oct.31, 2004 We hit Vegas at about 10:00 pm. and left there on Nov. 3rd after a stop at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Thats all we're saying!

Nov.03, 2004 Phoenix was a welcome site at 10:00 pm to bad it took until midnight to find our friend Graham's house. Nothing like driving through the hood with "Redneck Racing" on the side of your vehicle!

Nov.04, 2004 After our days in Vegas we needed a day off so this was it. Well kind of (Thanks to the staff at The Candy Store for making even our "day off" memorable)

Nov.05, 2004 Our first day at the track. As anyone who has ever been to a race you know that the only way to describe it is WOW!! The trucks raced and the cars qualified. It was awsome seeing all the drivers, owners and crews up close and in person. We got so many pictures with all kinds of NASCAR people, drivers, crewmen, cars, trucks, you name it. We also managed to get just about every autograph we could ever want.

Nov.06, 2004 The Busch race. We got to watch the race from the infield and up very close. (thank you Mr.X for hooking us up with the passes)

Nov.07, 2004 THE CUP RACE.....again we watched from the infield and were behind Jr's pit when he Won!!!! By the end of the day we all had Jr's autograph, lugs from Jr's car and bought two used race tires. The Van was a huge hit for those that saw it (we ended up parking close but in an area with not a lot of fan traffic).

Nov.09, 2004 We made it home in 20hrs straight driving (well two of us did the others slept the whole way). We took some time at the boarder again because of some luggage left behind the first time but they did remember us.

Stay tuned we'll have new pics up soon.
