HISTORY

The Very Idea formed back in the February of 2001(in the lovely warm place of St. Andrews in Fife) before the days of Osama Bin Laden being a dick, before the days of President Bush...yes yes....those were the days.

We had no idea in what direction we were heading, playing Stone Roses, Amen, Offspring, A.F.I...confusing stuff. After playing a few gigs, things went wrong. Our bass player at the time, (DAVE MUNRO) decided to leave the band, leaving to pursue his career in singing. He joined marcel, then they split up....where are you now Dave? ha! All glammed up and no where to go!!!!!

Anyway. Back to now. After a short break ,Ross, Kev, Rob and new addition Tommy all met up and began writing our own stuff. It's a style we like to call "punk" but hey, don't judge us by the all the shit bands out there who have nothing to say. They suck, we don't. For example we sing about life rather than how much we'd like to kill our parents.

Then yet again another member decided to leave the band. Tommy didn't feel comnfortabel with the band and didn't like the style we were heading in.

Then came the final piece in the jigsaw, Simon joined after meeting kev in pub and I'd known him before hand and its all worked out since then. Simon joined us couple of months back and its all go from here.

So yeah. thats us....The Very Idea. come see us play, you wont regret it.
