This weapon you see hear is called a brown bess musket. This weapon was used by the British. This weapon was very slow to load, inaccurate and unreliable. It took 12 complicated steps to load and fire one shot. An experienced british soldier would take twenty seconds to load and fire a shot. The objects the british used to fire were lead balls that caused serios injury when hit at an opponent. It is said that soldiers wouldn't aim at their target but shoot close to the target and hoped for the best since the musket was inaccurate.

This weapon was commonly called the Springfield musket was manufactured in the U.S. This was a standard long arm infantry during the war.During the War of 1812, contracts were let out to private manufactuers such as Eli Whitney who manufactured this particular weapon in 1812. This weapon had been estimated to manufacture thirty thousand by 1814.

The howitzer fired explosive shells. This weapon was extremly useful for both the British and Americans. The British and Americans baught 5.5 howitzers for the war of 1812.


This gun was a common weapon used by the natives like the aboriginals. These weapons were used from 1811 until 1816. The Americans and the British would supply this weapon and other ones for the natives.

Mohawk

This weapon used by the Mohawk. The purpose for the mohawk matunip line was to tie up prisoners. Many materials were used to make this weapon. The materials were made of braided vegtables fibres, dyed black, decorated with tin cones, moose hair dyed red, and black,red, and white porcupine quills. This rope was at least six feet long.

Wooden

This lethal weapon was used between 1775 - 1815. It is stained red and decorated with personalized motifs that are typical of the period and that may have been related to a vision quest. This weapon was Sixty - three centimetres long.
