A group of Gao Li people (the first prince, the seventh prince, the princess, a general names Biao and an officer Chui) arrived in Luzhou and will stay for 10 days. In the day they arrived, a group of black-clothes people attack them and tried to kill the prince. Gongsun Zhen asked for Bao Zheng's help to investigated this case. One day, the first prince tried to violate a girl named Xiao Ai, but Xiao Ai was saved by a female ghost. Few days later, the first prince tried to violate her again in his room, and the female ghost came and saved Xiao Ai again. After Xiao Ai and the female ghost left, the prince was killed and there was a mark which looked like "+". And after that, Xiao Ai was missing.

Few days later, Xiao Ai was found in the forest with no footprints around her. Bao Zheng found a break bamboo and know that the female ghost was not a real ghost, she used bamboo and string to fly (like a catapult). They made a trap to catch the female ghost and the result: the female ghost was a girl who saved Bao Zheng when the black-clothes people attacked, named Ling Chu Chu. But Chu Chu was not the killer, her kungfu wasn't good enough to kill the prince and the prince was killed after she and Xiao Ai left. Minister Bang came to  taking over this case from Ba Xian Wang and the Gao Li was also threated to attack Song if they can't find out the killer.

A group of black-clothes people was die in the temple. Bao Zheng saw that one of the black-clothes people's back was burnt and he remember about seventh prince (seventh prince said that in the night first prince killed, he was in the restaurant drunk and fight, and the servant said that someone burned his back with kettle). When Bao Zheng found the evidence that the seventh prince was lie and maybe he is the killer, seventh prince was also killed (there was also a "+" mark).

Gao Li peoples became angrier and want to attack Song, but they still gave them 3 days to find out the killer. In the third day, Bao Zheng and Chu Chu saw Gao Li princess' servant girl bought some medicine (to cause abortion). Then Bao Zheng decided that the princess and officer Chui was the killer. They have a secret affair and the prince knew that, so they kill them. Bao Zheng said that on the prince' neck, there was a thin wound caused by sword and only officer Chui have this kind of sword. The princess and officer Chui said that they really have a secret affair, but they didn't kill the prince and the child inside princess' stomache was not officer Chui's child, the first prince was the one who violated the princess.

Bao Zheng still felt that there was something wrong in this case and still want to investigate it. Bao Zheng, Chu Chu and Shen Liang found a hole on the wall at the prince' room and suspect that Xiao Ai was really has wolf blood and she was the killer. But in the next day, they found Xiao Ai commited suicide in the forest and left a letter, said that she was the killer. But few days later, Bao Zheng saw that letter and some handwritting written by Xiao Ai (Shen Liang was the one who taught Xiao Ai write), then found something ...

The real killer was Shen Liang, he is a Liao (named Ye Li Liang Chai) who given a duty to set a war between Song and Gao Li. He killed seventh prince and shout (so people will think that the one who shout was the prince), and after people came in, he entered between them (no one will take a suspicious, because he was a part of them). Then Xiao Ai saw the tiger tatoo on his arm and knew that he was a Liao, so he killed Xiao Ai and set her up as the blacksheep, that letter was also written by Shen Liang.
