| Normal Items |
| Arrow |
| This is an Arrow, the projectile launched by the bow. Arrows can be purchased in shops everywhere. |
| Blue Candle |
| This is the Blue Candle, the first candle Link gets in the game. It can use only one flame on a screen at a time. |
| Blue Potion |
| This is the Blue Potion, a potion that can be used to completely refill Link's life and can be purchased by an old lady. |
| Blue Ring |
| This is the Blue Ring, one of the most handy items in the game. It reduces Link's damage by half. |
| Bomb |
| This is a Bomb, a special item that Link uses to blow open holes in walls and damage enemies. |
| Bow |
| This is the Bow, an item that Link uses to launch arrows at enemies. It's a very important item to have. |
| Clock |
| This is a Clock, an item that can't be bought, but appears randomly. It freezes all enemies on that screen. |
| Enemy Bait |
| This is Enemy Bait. Link used it to DRAW enemies towards himself. Link has to use it in order to finish some dungeons. |
| Fairy |
| This is a Fairy, a small creature that can be found at a Fairy's Fountain or dropped by enemies. It refills Links health. |
| Heart Container |
| This is a Heart Container. Five of these are scattered across Hyrule. The other eight can be found after beating a dungeon boss. |
| Key |
| This is a Key, a small and simple item that can be bought at shops and found in dungeons. They open locked doors. |
| Ladder |
| This is the Ladder, an item necessary to cross over rivers and streams. It's Link specialty item. |
| Letter |
| This is the Letter. When Link uses this item, the old ladies will then sell him potions. |
| Magical Boomerang |
| This is the Magical Boomerang, an item that reaches twice as far as the normal boomerang. |
| Magical Key |
| This is the Magical Key. Just like a skeleton key, it can unlock any door in the game. |
| Magical Rod |
| This is the Magical Rod. It serves no real purpose, except to just shoot magical beams across the screen. |
| Map |
| This is a Map. This item can be found in all of the dungeons. It reveals the parts of the dungeons. |
| Power Bracelet |
| This is the Power Bracelet. It can be used to move boulders that Link normally couldn't move. |
| Raft |
| This is the Raft, an item especially necessary to get into certain dungeon in both quests. |
| Red Candle |
| This is the Red Candle. It's just like the blue candle, except that Link can use multiple flames on a screen. |
| Red Potion |
| This is the Red Potion. It's just like the blue potion, except that Link can use it twice instead of just once. |
| Red Ring |
| This is the Red Ring. It reduces Links damage by 1/4 and can be found in the last dungeon on both quests. |
| Rupy |
| This is a Rupy, an important item needed to buy other items in the game. Rupies can be found practically anywhere. |
| Silver Arrow |
| This is the Silver arrow, the upgraded version of the normal arrow. It is necessary for defeating Ganon, the last boss. |
| Small Heart |
| This is a Small Heart. It can be found after defeating enemies. It refills one heart container when picked up. |
| Special Rupy |
| This is a Special Rupy that counts as five rupies. The rupy is solid blue and doesn't flash. |
| Triforce Piece |
| This is a Triforce Piece. They can be found at the end of each dungeon. The pieces together make the Triforce of Wisdom. |
| Whistle |
| This is the Whistle. It can be used to destroy enemies and summon whirlwinds which will warp Link to a different location. |
| Wooden Boomerang |
| This is the Wooden Boomerang, an item Link uses to stun enemies. It's very useful when dealing with stronger enemies. |
| Swords |
| Magical Sword |
| This is the Magical Sword, the most powerful sword in the game. it can be found in the graveyard by pulling out a tombstone. |
| White Sword |
| This is the White Sword, the second sword in the game. Link has to have five heart containers to get it. |
| Wooden Sword |
| This is the Wooden Sword, the first item Link gets in the game. It is found in the cave in the same screen Link starts in. |
| This is the Magical Shield, it can repeal fireballs. Beware though because Like Like's like to eat them. |
| This is the Wooden Shield, the first shield Link starts with. It doesn't have much defense, but it's worth having. |
