The above was taken at the Academy of Sacred Heart, where my mother teaches.  It's a beautiful place, which makes it easy to take good pictures.

These were taken when our rec center burned down.  It was quite frightening as the flames got awfully close to housing.  But the 6 or 7 HFD crews that worked the fire were truely amazing, and did everything they could despite the wind and other conditions.  It really was an experience to watch them work and literally put their lives on the line.
