DIRECTIONS Virginia Friends holds their socials in the Quality Inn & Suites in Ashland on rt. 54 [England St.] Address: 810 England Street Ashland, Va. 23005 Phone# (804)-798-4231, which is conveniently located in the central part of Virginia. From North of Richmond: Take I-95 south to exit 92 [Ashland] after exiting I-95 travel 1 quarter mile on England ST. The Quality Inn & Suites is on the right side across from The Ponderosa Restaurant. From the South:
HOTEL INFORMATION
When making reservations please state that you are with VA Friends, to ensure that you are placed with our group on the private floor. We are going to be placed in the "C" building. All the ground floor rooms have an outer entrance & an inner hall entrance, which Ensures you full privacy & security. All 2nd floor rooms have private balconies and a private inner hall entrance. Please be assured that the hotel is aware of the group and what we do and are willing to Accommodate & assist us in any way possible. Room Rates: The hotel courteously extends a special room rate of $59.50 per room per night to members of Virginia Friends. Please, please, please mention that you are attending the VAF function when you are making reservations through the hotel. This is very important in assuring you receive your discounted room rate and when making room assignments to the fourth floor. Virginia Friends does NOT make hotel reservations for members. The hotel is often booked solid during club events. The club floor is booked on a first come first serve basis. Although the hotel does not actually assign rooms until the week of the dance, room assignments will be made according to the order in which RSVPs are received. Couples staying in the hotel for both Friday and Saturday night will have first priority to the club floor rooms. Room types are not 100% guaranteed. Requests such as non-smoking, near elevators, connecting rooms, etc. will be honored to the best of the hotel's ability. |
