Apokolips

New Asgard, Apokolips, the Plains of Yggrdasill, and the other Nine Worlds emerge from the remnants of Godworld c. 4,800,000,000 BCE. Mephisto (Mephiston?) rules of the denizens of Apokolips, until the coming of Thanoseid. The Promethean Giants, Surtur, Kalibak, Mangog, and Ymir, are bound to the living rock called the Ego-Mass to await their destinies as architects of the end day.

The First Pact between New Asgard and Apokolips is forged by Highfather Odin and Thanoseid in 1700. It is sealed with the exchange of the two leader's offspring; with Orion to be raised on New Asgard, and Scott Free to be raised on Apokolips. Absorbing Bug [Forager, Ambush Bug / Absorbing Man]

An enemy of Thorion, Absorbing Bug is able to ingest any material and split it into dozens of little creatures with the very same physcial properties. THO

A district of Apokolips. A reference to a "great battle against what seemed to be consummate evil. Friends as well as foes died here..." B&B

Boom Tube [DC]

Noisy method of transportation via a warpgate. Controlled by Monarch and Thanoseid. B&B

Female Furies [DC]

Basically unchanged from the DC Universe, save that Big Titania is now their leader and they serve Thanoseid. Includes Bernadeth, Lashina, Stompa, and Mad Harriet. B&B

Harkness, Granny [Granny Goodness / Agatha Harkness]

Runs an "orphanage" on Apokolips, where the ruling elite of Apokolips are pounded into shape before they serve Thanoseid. B&B

Bartered son of All-Highfather Odin, servant of Thanoseid, half-brother to Thorion. Died by his own hand while trying to manipulate a Mother Cube. THO

Omega Beams [DC]

Power of Thanoseid's capable of destruction and bending time and space. B&B

Orion [DC]

Born in 1690, he is the son of Thanoseid. (based on similar event in DC Continuity.) He possessed the power of the Astro-Force and contained it in his weapon/vehicle known as the Astro-Glider.

Orion rebelled against his evil father and died in the Secret Crisis on Infinite Earths. He Astro-Glider.

Thanoseid [Darkseid / Thanos]

First Appearance: Super-Soldier's Pal Jimmy Olsen #134

Nihilist ruler of Apokolips, father of Orion.

Thanoseid became ruler of Apokolips about 700. It is unknown whether Mephisto opposed or supported his ascension to power.

Thanoseid's mother orders him to assassinate his wife, the Enchanted Tigra, in order to pursue the favors of Mistress Death. Thanoseid transforms her into a stone statue and abandons her out on the plains of Yggdrasill. Date based on similar event in DC Continuity.

About 800, Thanoseid becomes obsessed with order and seeks to impose ultimate order upon the universe. His compulsion will soon lead him on a quest for the Ultimate Anti-Life Nullifier - the key to the complete annihilation of all life.
