Our Chinese Zodiacs

Ida's Chinese Zodiac

According to Chinese lunar calendar, I was born in the year of Tiger and my element is wood. They say that people born in the year of the tiger have a lively disposition and are forthright and uninhibited in nature. They are broad-minded and quick to action. But there is another aspect to their characters. They are full of suspicion, and sometimes will take hasty action. They never hide their feelings. They are honest, tender, generous and humorous at the same time. They are always kind, love babies and animals, and like anything that arouses their imagination.

One of the most distinctive character of tigers is they are always eager to show themselves off. People born in the year of the tiger will never give up no matter how frustrated they may become, or how severe are the misfortunes they meet. Even if there is only one spark left, they will try to make it fire their lives. Their spirits never die out, their lives never end.

The wood tiger is a tolerant type of Tiger who evaluates situations in a practical and impartial light. He is democratic in his views and understands the importance of enlisting others' co-operation in order to advance more rapidly. He will attract a lot of friends and supporters, as he can mingle with people from all walks of life.  The Wood Tiger is also inclined to be the least penetrating of the Tigers and may prefer to scan the surface of things and maintain only the semblance of order.

Dennis' Chinese Zodiac

Dennis was born in the year of Rabbit and his element is water. People born in the year of the rabbit are the luckiest among "the twelve animals." The rabbit is a symbol for mercy, elegance, amiability and worship of beauty. People born in this year are kind, speak gently, peaceful, quiet and loving persons. They like to live easy lives. They are reserved persons, love arts and have a strong sense of justice. Whatever they do, they will start well and end well. This feature can make them learned scholars. They are also well adapted to work in government departments, and to be active on the political stage.

People born in the year of the rabbit give others an impression of being frail-looking because of their gentle appearance. But, in fact, they are strong minded and have strong wills. They pursue their ideals all their lives in a precise and orderly way. It is also easy for people to get the impression that people born in the year of the rabbit will never do harm to other people. It is true that they seldom use harsh words or say anything rude. They can hide their real features by their decent appearance when they face opponents, and then hurt them. By the time one discovers this, they will have tricked you.

People born in the year of the rabbit are very hospitable, good hosts and warm-hearted companions. Their words make everyone feel happy. Generally speaking, people born in the year of the rabbit really understand what life means. They make full allowance for other's weal and woe. They know when they should show their forbearance. They never embrace others in public places. They know the art of saving face and giving consideration to the interests of both sides.

Water Rabbit is a meditative type of Rabbit with fragile and emotional nature. He cannot bear harassment or any other unpleasantness, such as dissent and bickering. Perhaps this is due to the fact that he is too emphatic and can pick up the thoughts and feelings of others with uncanny accuracy. He will possess an excellent memory and may have the kind of mental power that, without his knowing it, transmits his ideas to others. His delicate sensitivity makes him dwell too much on the past and hence he is often reminiscing on long past injuries and indulging in self-pity. In his negative moods, he suspects other's motives, is uncommunicative and over-imaginative. In his positive state, he could call upon all cosmic powers to come to his aid. He is never without friends and influence if he does not carry his neutrality to extremes.
