Our First Anniversary

Dennis and I got married on November 23, 2002 and then we had to be 'separated' and went back to our home countries. Time goes by and we have been through some ups and downs together. Without realizing it, now we already married for one year.

We still live in our home countries, me in Indonesia and Dennis in US. We are still waiting for my immigration paperwork approval. As many other international couples that get stuck with immigration problem, we don't know how much longer this 'painful' process would be. We just hang on to each other and be strong. And though we are 10,000 miles apart, we are very close at heart :o)

On Our Special Day
I love looking back
to where we began,
seeing us as we were
at the beginning,
then slowly leafing through
the memories
we've made together
to bring us
to where we are today...
I love anticipating
the days ahead of us,
wondering what we'll find
in each other,
in ourselves,
before another year
has slipped away...
But, best of all,
I love being with you
where we are today,
together writing the pages
we'll remember tomorrow.
