Seasons Land

Do you like the smell of flowers on early spring ? Or do you love the frozen temperature of mid-winter ? You have come to the right land ! Here you can find my seasons pages, from spring to winter and also rainy season pages for those of you living in equator.

Season is determined by the position of the earth in its orbit when it moves around the sun. On its movement the earth tilts and it causes the north part to be closer to the sun than the south for half of the year and the other way around for the other half. Part of earth that closer to the sun will get longer day, more sunshine and that's when the summer season occur there. On the other part, which is farther from the sun, will get shorter day and less sunshine so they have winter season. In simple word, when the northern hemisphere has summer, the southern hemisphere gets winter.

Places located in equator (middle of the earth) have the same distance to the sun along the year. That's why there is no big difference in temperature and day length. They only get summer and rainy seasons.

I live in Indonesia, which is located exactly in equator, so in my place we only have those two seasons, summer and rain. Temperature here is around 20-35 Celcius the whole year and we have 6 months of summer ! Isn't that fun ? :o)

I have five seasons pages here where you can browse around and have fun. I am still working on some of them so please check back often !
