Welcome To The Anime Club's Adoption Agency!

The Anime Club is a guild that welcomes all people who have a love for anime and manga. The Anime Club is in it's third year on Neopets, and we're still going strong due to the dedication of our guild leader, meshpocket, and other loyal guild members. We have contests, banners, a guild site, userlookups, and even more. If you havent yet, please check us out!
This Adoption Agency was opened while The Anime Club was trying to find new, cool things to do. Chlorinatedpanda suggested an Adoption Agency, and so it was born. Chlorinatedpanda runs the Adoption Agency, so if you have any questions, comments, or any other type of concern, just neomail her.
Rules for Adopters:

1. The number one rule is to be respectful and considerate in all dealings. This Agency is not open to cater to rude brats who only want an easy way to get a “rare” pet.

2. When you find a pet that you would like to adopt, neomail its owner with the full name of the pet you are interested in, a time that you will probably be on in the next few days, and your AIM or other instant messenger (IM) screenname. You must also be sure that you have enough Neopoints to get the pet you want. This could be into the thousands of neopoints, so be prepared.

3. You will receive a neomail back from the owner, so do not have neomails blocked. The two of you (adopter and owner) will have to decide on a time for both of you to be on your IM and complete the move.

4.
A. You, as adopter, will need to go to go here and input the name of the pet you are going to recieve. You click the “Find me my perfect pet” button. Then you can either keep refreshing on that page, or press the Back botton on your browser and click the “Find me my perfect pet” button, again. You must do this repeatedly, until the pet comes up, at which time you click on the picture of the pet.
B. When you are both on your IM, you can decide how you would like to do the switch. There can be a 3-2-1 count or the owner can say, “okay, start refreshing” and then give you a few second before letting the pet go.

5.
A. You should have your neopet! Thanking the owner for their kindness would be a good thing and take good care of that pet!
B. If the Adoption didn’t go through…accidents happen. If someone else adopts the pet, you can neomail the new owner and try to explain things to him or her. It would be helpful if both you and the previous owner neomailed the new owner. But while you are doing this, remember rule #1: Be respectful and considerate! Ask nicely for the adopter to talk to you and see if they would go through the procedure I listed above with you, so you could get the pet back. If the new owner will not cooperate, there is not much we can do. Continue to follow rule #1 and don’t blame the former owner, it is not their fault. See if perhaps there is another pet you are interested in. If not, well it is not the end of the world.

Rules for Owners:

1. The number one rule, again, is to be respectful and considerate in all dealings.

2. When you apply to the Adoption Agency to donate a pet at first, give the FULL name of the pet, whether the pet is ready to be adopted or in training, the account name the pet is in, and the name of the account you want to be neomailed by Adopters. The two accounts do not have to be the same, but the account you neomail me from the first time, should be the one the pet is in. For example, not all of the pets that are listed as "Neomail Chlorinatedpanda" are on the Chlorinatedpanda account name. Most of them are on other accounts. As long as you own the account, any pet is okay.

3. Whenever the pet you have in the Adoption Agency has a stat or color change, please neomail chlorinatedpanda with the new stats.

4. When you get a neomail from an adopter, be nice and you can remind them of the rules. If they do not follow the rules, you may refuse their request with the reason that they did not read the rules.

5. If you are going to let them have the pet, discuss specifically how the transfer will take place, to minimize the chance for error. Also, just incase a mistake does happen, if you can, put in the pet’s lookup of petpage that they are intended for the adopter, as proof that you are speaking the truth. Make sure everyone is ready before you let the pet go.

6.
A.When it is done, good! You are truly kind Neopian! Neomail chlorinatedpanda that the pet has been adopted. She will probably give you a cookie. ^^
B.If someone else adopts the pet (not the adopter you intended), you can neomail the new owner and try to explain things to him or her. It would be helpful if both you and the adopter neomailed the new owner. But while you are doing this, remember rule #1: Be respectful and considerate! Refer to the petlookup or petpage if you put in one of those that you were transferring the pet. If the new owner will not cooperate, there is not much we can do. Continue to follow rule #1 and don’t blame the adopter, it is not their fault. Neomail chlorinatedpanda that the pet is gone. She will probably give you a cookie for being a good Neopian and trying. ^^
