History of TAC
When I first logged on to Neopets, I just had fun feeding my pets and playing games.
I didn't really know aobut the stuff outside of the fun.
One day, I saw my brother's guild, and I asked him what it was.
He wasn't sure, but he said he thought it was sort of like land you
buy in Neopia for a club. I wanted one soooo bad!
So I made one. It was called Neopet Faerie's Cloud, or something like that.
No one joined, but I didn't understand HTML or anything.
I didn't know people were supposed to join, and I didn't know that,
without a layout or contests, no one cared.
I just thought it was land I had bought on the Faerie Cloud.
When I saw other guilds, I started to understand what
guilds were, and I deleted the Faerie Guild, and made The Anime Club
on November 9th 2001. I made layouts and a website. It was great!
My frist members were
lililse (now chibalou) rajakuruna, maimouse187, icehorse15, and tomoyo54.
They all helped me, and 4 of them are still here today!
Near to about when I had 20 members,
Neopets deleted my guild site, and I was completely lost.
Everything was gone: contests, extras, everything!
I made a new site on Geocities.
But that was hard time for TAC.
I lost lots of members around then.
I also lost my data and all graphics I had made.
But with the help of dedicated members, we made it through.
Things went smoothly for the guild after that.
We were getting new members every week
and business was booming.
Everyone loved TAC and I was so
proud of the guild.
But then a terrible thing happened.
It was around when I had 55 members and we were at the height of business.
Some old members
came back and they started talking about how we should
redo the guild. Some of the council members
started getting angry at them, and I put the guild on hiatus
for awhile.
While it was on hiatus, 5 members left. We were just getting the site back up and running
with a new site designed by a member, when that
member left. I was distraught. Things went
downhill from there. The other member I was depending on left too.
Things looked bad. I started thinking of maybe closing or
selling the guild. I didn't want to deep inside though.
So I asked my other council members. I got them on stuff,
on jobs, and they helped me greatly.
They made new things and surprised me with how much they did for me.
In no time, we had new stuff coming up and a brand new guild feel.
Now, my guild is really far, and it means a lot to me how much you've all done for it.
TAC has been through two hard times and we can make it a little further now!
Thank you for everything!
