The morning sings its wordless song |
as I rise to its tune |
Breathing in the cool sharp air |
a new day wraps its arms around me. |
Yesterday has folded its weary limbs |
and now lays in endless slumber |
Leaving me with its memories |
to hold within my heart. |
The silence rings loud in my ears |
stirring thoughts of what is to come |
If time could only take me back |
to retrieve what has been lost. |
Wisdom walks with me along the path I chose |
teaching me I am the author of my life |
I must take up my pen with Love as ink |
and with a careful hand begin a chapter new. |

These candles burn in memory of Christine - my niece, my sister, my best friend. Rest in the arms of angels Chris, you will live in my heart forever. |
