Arseniy Reicher and Alexander Altschuler – the directors of the theatre.
We invented and created this theatre in 1997, working at the Saint-Petersburg Maly Drama Theatre at that time. We staged the first performances on our own money. In the Children's Theatre of Nonsense we are not only directors but also chief managers, administrators, mounters of the sets, dressers, etc. We haven't got any official theatre education: our feeling of theatre built on freedom gives us no opportunity to get an education in our country. We consider our teachers Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod who live in London. Children's Theatre of Nonsense is our only place of work.
Vanya Ivanov – the constant designer of the theatre. Not only designs the sets, costumes, props and make up but also makes them with his own hands. Besides the work in the Children's Theatre of Nonsense he has got no other constant job and engages in individual creative work in various genres and techniques (book illustrations, sculpture, etc.). His works have been exhibited in arts galleries of Moscow and Berlin.
