- Family Reunion Revisited -

Sitting on the deck.My family and friends dance around,
listening to out of style music,
wearing colorful summer clothing.
My uncle talks to me about some great accomplishment,
but I really don’t hear him because I’m paying too much attention to the long hair sticking out of his upper lip.
One of my cousins tries to sip from his longneck Jack Daniels.
She’s too short, so she ends up with a booze shower.
My dog lazily lays on the grass as the youngest of my cousins torture him,
and yet for some reason his tail’s still wagging.
