Permanent Players:

See Finances section the list of current Permanent Players

Player/Gym Guidelines:

1) Additional players (guests) are REQUIRED to pay $10 (or $5 for half gym) BEFORE playing. No money no play. Money will be collected by either Aku or Sunil. This is extra money used to subsidize the fees for renting the gym in later quarters. This collection benefits the permanent players.

2) A limit of 15 players in the gym. We don't want 16(which means 1 or more people waiting 2 games).

3) We will not referee which additional player(s) get to stay if there are more than 15. Walk-ons play on a first come first served basis. They decide who was first and last. In the event of any nasty disputes, either Sunil or Aku will decide the order of entry. Of course, any additional player without his payment will not play.

4) Each player above owns his quarterly spot. If he does not want his spot for the upcoming quarter (fall, winter, spring, etc) he can sell/donate it to anyone.

5) Each player above does not own his weekly spot. If you do not come a week, you can’t give your spot to someone else for that week, making that person exempt from the $10 and additional player rule. Your absence
opens a spot for the guests.

6) A permanent player can sell his quarterly spot before the 7th week of use. For example, if a player suffers an injury prior to week 7, he can sell his spot (notifying Aku/Sunil) for a designated price to anyone. Beginning week 7, the player can’t sell his spot.

7) The day of play is designated as Friday nights. A unanimous vote for day change must occur for a change. Available slots are in 1.5 hour increments beginning 5:30pm every weeknight and 12:00pm–5:00pm Sat/Sun.

8) Spots are open via “EVITE.COM”. Permanent players do not have to register “yes” for playing, but are highly encouraged. Guests are required to register. Registered guests will get the open spots before a non-registered guest.

9) Any correspondance or disputes for the gym will go through either Aku or Sunil.

Payment/Finances/Schedule

The 13 permanent players will pay the full fees for the use of the gym. For the quarters following, the cost may go down depending on the weekly fees collected by guest play. An accounting of weekly fee collection is available on  http://www.oocities.org/theb210/MMaster_files/Hoopsfinances.htm . The weekly schedule is also available on the link above. We do not have all Fridays, so please check the schedule for “bye” weeks.

Court Rules

1) Permanent players play, regardless of when he arrives. If a game is
in progress he automatically plays in the next game, for less than 15 players in the gym. If there are 15 players in the gym, the last guest will be asked to leave (full refund) and the permanent player will replace the guest’s spot.

2) First 10 (or 8 for half gym) permanent player arrivals shoot for teams.  First 5 and than second 5 form the 2 teams. The 11th guy and so on play in the 2nd game. If there are less than 10 permanent players, the first arriving guests will be placed with the permanent players.

3) 16th and any other additional players may elect to share a spot with
other players. This means 2 guests can hold 1 of the 15 spots, and pay $5 each (or whatever deal they make).

4) Full Gym: Games go to 15 straight going by 2s and 3s. Half Gym: Games go to 9 straight by 1s.

5) No more than 3 consecutive games per team (3rd win and team sits).
Losing team remains on court after the 3rd win.   Winning team is
broken apart if less than 5 players are waiting to play (only way the team can remain together is if 5 players are waiting to play). Winning team players’ may shoot to play if additional players are required.

6) For disputed calls, a team may elect anyone from their team to
shoot for possession. Basket made awards the ball to the team making the bucket. The ball is awarded to the other team if there is a 2nd dispute (no shoot up).

7) Injury:  When a player is hurt and cannot continue to play, remaining
players whom are sitting HAVE to shoot for play.

8) Aku and/or Sunil may add rules as seem fit.
