ANTI-AGEING RESEARCH -- FOUR PAGE DISCUSSION PULLOUT
Welcome Back
AdvertiserWe're glad this issue to be able to say "Welcome back" to THE ADVERTISER weekly newspaper. It would be nice to think that its return was the result of our "Save Our Column Editorial" in issue 5, but it was more likely due to the efforts of such as Bentilee Librarian, John West; Willfield Open Learning Centre Manager, Peter Marsh; the Bent' Vol's Project Leader, Janet Mason; Willfield-Queensberry C.E.C. Manager, Roy Oakes; and, of course, the columnist himself, Mr. Derrick Woodward (5 Thornham Green). Those who'd like to have a copy of the paper though will have to visit the library, Ubberley Health Centre, or the Willfield Centre, Lauder Place North.
This issue includes a four page disussion pullout on anti-ageing research -- as reported in the recent ITV VIEWPOINT documentary; and if that doesn't get your brain cells in a spin, there's a pontification on the pointlessness of The News by Bent' Philosopher, Kevin Griffin, as well. (And he's threatened to write a reply to the four page pullout too.)
Meanwhile, the good news is that this is the last issue of the mini-mag until August. Why? To allow me time to put together the summer issue of the fullsize Bentilean magazine (duue out July). Any stories, poems, articles, etc. would be welcomed at 538 Beverley Drive, Bentilee. The full mag should include a new Mortimer & Mears comedy sketch, the Home Pages, a final(?) report on PEP, poems, philosophy, tips on what to do with the remainder of the summer (if any), and News n Views. In fact the usual "more good stuff than you can shake a stick at!"
