| September 2004 - Battlefield PhD After sending more than 30 PhD applications, I was invited to 3 interviews (Leeds, King's College and Queen Mary's). Finally, I was offered the position at Bart's and the London Queen Mary's school of Medicine and Dentistry (London). The whole month involved getting in contact with the university, sending off documents, arranging my accomodation in London and spending potentially my last month in Manchester. |

| October 2004 - London baby I've arrived well, but with only one bag, and have immediately started work in the laboratory. My supervisor is Dr. Peter King, and I am working on the regulation of development and function of the adrenal zones by bone morphogenetic protein components. Currently looking for a new hockey team and awaiting until I transfer the rest of my stuff from Manchester. I am happy to find some of my old highschool classmates from St.Lawrence, Greece here in London. These 3 years should be quite fun... |
