Droplets
                       Like two droplets
                             You and I.

The lashings of time
engraved twin hues of mind,
mirror shadows of fears,
coupled Rainbows of dreams.

                               And yet
here I am
               guarding my fences,
               holding precious my Crystal Bowl
an inch away from your grip.
What if I trust it in your keeps
and you let it slip?

Once more I may not pick its dust
               and make it whole.

What if you're gone like a breeze,
melt like a cloud
and in the rain
I'm left to retrace my markings?

And thus I run
as you lay before me
on a sliver plate
your very being.

I run for fear of loving you,
when, in my silent dreams,
I spend long days by your side
on the shores of existence,
warmed by beams of early Sun
or in the shades of Rowan Trees
walk the Earth
or like two droplets
                                  become One with the Ocean.
