Climbing up ladders

Note: liens vers des sites en français au bas de la page

In Tolkien’s Lothlorien, Elves lived up in the trees.
Even Galadriel had to climb up ladders to reach her home.
So I thought this picture was appropriate, even though I admit the treehouse and the tree itself have nothing so Elvish.

There are lots of resources for those who decide to go the Elvish way and build their own dream house up in the air: books and websites will help when it comes to choosing a proper tree and building a structure that won’t damage or hurt it.

Some are a bit more extreme and extend the tree-experience to their whole way of life… For one holiday:

The
Out'N'About Treesort is a licensed B & B, it’s also the Treehouse Institute of Arts and Culture, in Takilma, Oregon, USA. It offers various courses for “treemusketeers”. They say their “focus is upon song, dance & laughter. Primarily laughter. A happy student is a joy to teach.” They “enjoy teaching” and “expect students to enjoy the learning process”...
A program that should make any Elf happy!
