The intent of this page is to show landscapes of Northern and Western Europe that have, in my eyes, a “Middle Earth feel” to them; it is in no way to display photos of places that inspired Tolkien or may have inspired him, although in the end, some may indeed have.

Some of the links below lead to photographer’s pages that have only a few photos dealing with the matter, some to websites with loads of them; but all those links have been carefully selected and will take you to high quality photos, whether taken by professional or amateur photographers.

I may transform this page into a proper gallery sometime soon so that it will look less… bland :)
