Chapter 6: The Mysterious Shadow
Harry and Ron walked down to the Quidditch pitch in high spirits. Harry was thrilled to play Quidditch again, after a long (and boring) summer. Ron wanted to play real Quidditch again. Harry hummed, twisting his best-broomstick-yet Firebolt over his shoulder. Ron whistled along, twiddling his Nimbus 1999 in his hands. Upon entering the locker room, both boys were greeted with open arms; Helen Washington and Whitney Fresno, the Beaters, gave a loud scream together the moment Seeker and Keeper entered. One could question their similarities and not be answered for awhile. Jordan, Lawrence, and Charles Sippi were Chasers and triplets, and also sending off yells. They were similar in more ways than one. All 3 could be at one end of the pitch and the next second, be on the other side, despite the fact that they were on Eagle 500s, which were created a good 15 years ago and since then, tons of better brooms had been made. Harry gave them a little pep talk before they went onto the field. “Now, this year, as you all should know, I shall be graduating from the school. So will Ron. And Bambi eyes won’t keep me here, Whitney. “But the thing is,” he continued, “I really want to win the Cup this year. You guys are as good as my ‘old team.’ “I mean, our team works together like a paintbrush and the set of paints. The black, or self-control, and light blue, peace, is our remarkable Beater Whitney.” Whitney, hearing this praise, blushed, evidently hoping that her short hair would hide her pale cheeks - Ha! “Green/success is drawn by the Sippi brothers, who also have yellow, creativity, and light brown, friendship.” Lawrence and Jordan looked shocked, but Charles said, “What about Helen?” “Finally,” Harry said, grinning broadly, “purple, truth, and white, strength, are represented by both Ron and Helen. You don’t hide your skills, and your strength pushes us.” “And the spectrum of the team is… Harry Potter!” Ron finished. “Great, so let’s go out there, and show the school what we’re made of!” Harry yelled. Everyone cheered, and Jordan said in an undertone to his brothers, “Mainly cells, blood, guts, digestive system, water, and muscles.” That made them all crack up (That is what we’re made of). |
