                                                     Chapter 2: Doubts and Preparations

The apartment was now constantly abuzz with activity. Sukura and Madison sat in a coffee shop on Saturdays, discussing wedding plans. Sukura helped Li with the where and when of the wedding and who to invite, and the honeymoon, stuff like that. Madison simply designed the wedding (yeah, kinda like a wedding planner), the dress, and the tux. On that particular Saturday, Madison was showing Sukura different styles of clothing, which ranged from Victorian to casual, futuristic to old-fashioned, pioneer to tight fitting. Finally Sukura decided on two options, traditional Japanese \ Chinese, and a modern sort of dress that Madison called 'Starchild'. (What am I supposed to call it?) Both of them she'd show to Li and see what he liked.

Laying aside the styles for the time being, Sukura felt that she had to tell her latest dream -- and her biggest fear -- to Madison.

"I'm walking through the woods, and I come to the grove where Li proposed to me. As you know, there is a small pool there, with a tiny waterfall. I just step my foot in, and then suddenly I'm being tossed around in a sea of rapids, and when I crawl out, I see Li standing there. And y'know what he's doing? He is KISSING MEILIN."

When she was done, Madison stood as though in thought. Finally she said, "I think that I know what the dream means. I think it means that once you became engaged to Li, all of a sudden, you were in a high range of emotions every day, and you want relief and for the wedding to be over already."

"And what about the last part?"

"I don't think that it means anything, just what your mind put together,"

"I dunno, Madison. My dreams have a habit of predicting the future."
