Bluntside formed in the summer of 1999,

four lads enjoying their summer break, two of them just finishing

their GCSE exams, decided to jam in Matt's house. They jammed a song

by Sepultura, titled 'Slave New World'. Ross on guitar, Ben on bass,

Matt on Drums. After a few attempts they got the song down and

only needed vocals to complete the lineup. This is where Simon

stepped up and started growling into the mic, the band was born.

After a while, the chance of a gig came about and that's when Chris

stepped in to help out as we blasted through a metal cover set.

The lineup had changed over the winter which saw Ben move to

guitar and Ross took on the role of playing bass. When Bluntside

began to write their own music, they sounded like a mix up between

Hatebreed and All out war, with their metal influences in with their

harsh hardcore undercurrent. The band recorded in February 2000

with Producer Dave Chang, only to be handed a fairly badly

recorded record which soon died away and made the band realise

that they could play far better than they were. This is where they began

to incorporate death metal aswell as plenty of thrash into their sound.

The band has many issues, including their hatred of organised religion,

corporate industries and those people who are the dregs of humanity

who scab off others and do nothing to help themselves out of the

shitholes they have dug themselves into in the first place.

With all this aggresion and integrity put into their music, Bluntside

are now begining to write material for their long awaited debut album.

Soon enough will they be ready to conquer all and wipe the smiles off the faces

of all the backstabbing, shit talkers they have met across the way!

It's nearly time to witness the true harsh side of life

THE BLUNTSIDE.......
