Summaries of the Books! | ||||
Book 1 takes place in Glory High Swamp. The first paragraph talks about the War of Glory High, where the Queen came and calmed it for her tyrant empire killing many of the small critter-like animals that made their home their. Glory High is the first place in hish that the Travel visits. He lives with a drunken squirrel named Phea’onna Sassafras. A large stegosaurs lives in the squirrel’s basement named blue glue. They have many adventures over the course that the Traveler lives there. One notable adventure comes when a man by the name of Mr. CooKoo’s house picks a fight with the Blue Glue is, in return killed. A pack of evil creatures named the Boogoossainfans (side note: their names change every time they are introduced in a new paragraph) plague the Glory High Swamp by rapping and killing the critter’s children. The critter’s retaliate by killing the Boogoossainfans every chance they get. But when the Blue Glue’s 97th son is killed, he tracks down the Boogoossainfans’ layer, but it is unclear whither he is able to kill any before the queen comes to stop him. He is captured and put into the stocks in the queen’s capital. The Traveler and the squirrel rescue the Blue Glue and celebrate on a sandy beach. Not long after this the Traveler is captured by an unknown group that is believed to be a kind of CIA for the queen. They torture him and try bazaar science techniques to extract his memories. The Traveler either escapes or is set free by his captives 500 years after his initial capture only to find that the Blue Glue and the squirrel are both dead and neither with any heirs. But the queen is still alive. Book 2 takes place after the Traveler is kidnapped by pirates. But not long after his kidnapping, the crew members of the ship pulls mutiny on the ship’s captain. The Traveler stays with on the ship and becomes a fellow crew member. They have several adventures before the Traveler is told by a donkey that may or not may be a prophet who warns him that the ship would sink. So the traveler escapes to an island and meets up with a monkey named Bret. Eventually, the Traveler swims to another island where he takes up residents where he morons for the loss of his fellow crew members. All throughout this part of the story, the Traveler continues to be heart broken by someone named Wendy. He loves Wendy but she has a boyfriend. Not to dig to deep, but the author has stated before that every girl that he looks seems to have someone already. Wendy could be a symbol for all of those girls that the author has liked, but couldn’t get involved with on the account they were already taken. Book 3 takes place in the Traveler’s tree hut home a billion years after he first arrived in hish.. It is believed that this tree hut was built by the traveler on the island that he discovered in the previous book. The Traveler is having a party, and there are a lot of creatures there including one named Damien who shares the same name as the pirate crew member that leads the mutiny also in the previous book. It is possible that this is the same Damien and that after the ship sank he find his way to the same island that the Traveler found. But regardless of the population of the party, the Traveler fells that he is the only one there. Possibly this shows that he feels out of place at his own party and out of place in the strange world of hish.. Several events take place at the party, but the most notable is when the queen, herself, crashes the party. She jokingly makes the creatures take off their heads and she runs around wearing them as hats. This is the first and only time in all 8 books that the Traveler shows any likening to the queen. Book 4 is the shortest of the 8. In depicts the gory events of the Thrred War. It is believed the Thrred War is a retaliation against the queen by the creatures who populate hish.. Though many fight, there are some who are against the war believing that it will only make things worse with the queen and create more death and suffering. The Traveler fights bravely in the battle, but is cut down. Book 5 works as an intermission to the rest of the book. It is an ancient hish fairy tale based off of an actually event in the author’s life. Book 6 takes place in the sky hideaway called Teramasoo. Teramasoo is named after the first innocent that was killed by the queen during the Thrred War. It was founded by the people who didn’t want to live in a war torn world any longer and away from the bondage of the queen. It is built among the winds of hish.. There are three characters that lead this skyward retreat: the Sorrows who is Teramasoo’s leader, the Fish who watches over the children of Teramasoo, and the Thingy Wing who is charged with protecting Teramasoo. We find that the Traveler survived his wounds during the Thrred War and was brought to the retreat. When the Thingy Wing is captured by the Queen, and the Traveler shows bravery again when he goes to rescue him. The rescue is a success and the Thingy Wing sets the Traveler up with a girl for the night as a reward. Later, the Thingy Wingy reviles to the Traveler, who has already spent 50 billion years in hish., that he must spend 500 googolplex years on each world in the sky before he can go home. Book 7 starts out by showing that all of hish has been taken over by the queen. The Traveler speaks with the King of Sparrows who agrees that something has to be done with the queen. They sneak into the queen’s room disguise as hamsters hoping to assassinate her while she’s asleep. She is alerted by the gay people, and escapes. They case the queen in the sparrow’s car fighting whoever gets in their way. They arrive at the queen’s castle, but she is not there. They find her hiding out in a small hut. There is a battle between the sparrow’s Us Army and the queen herself as she wields the blade of Offthangya. It is hopeless as she cuts down everyone except the sparrow and the Traveler who retreats back to Glory High which is a desert by this time. They formulate a new plan by pulling a “Trojan Horse” kind of sneak attack. There is a battle between the sparrow and the Traveler with the castle’s guards. After defeating the guards, the duo run to where the queen is. The duo fight more guards, and after they’re all defeated, the queen drop kicks the sparrow and the Traveler out a window. BUT not before the Traveler is able to put a sward through her chest killing her. There is a celebration afterwards. Book 8 is the final installment in the epic tale. We find that all is not well in the land of hish. for the Traveler and the sparrow. They are living like fugitives running from the queen’s 5 billion and 7 loyal warriors. The sparrow uses a rod to call upon the King of the Glass Sea to help in their fight. The King of the Glass Sea saves them, but turns out not to be a friend. The Traveler runs from him so fast that he ends up back in time at Glory High Swamp. He finds the squirrel and the Blue Glue alive again. He also meets up with the girl of his dreams who is named KK (this can somehow relate back to the whole Wendy issue and him finally finding the love of his life). They make love, but to the Traveler’s horror KK turns out to be the queen herself and somehow knows that the Traveler is the one responsible for her assassination in the future. She tortures him and he eventually dies. The Blue Glue saves the Traveler’s body and kills the queen once and for all. Back in Glory High, the Boogoossainfans rapped and killed some more of the critter’s children in retaliation to the queen’s death. Using some kind of magic, they are able to revive the Traveler. He immediately runs to kill the queen but finds her already dead. So he runs really fast again and ends up further back in time and finds himself in the middle of the Glory High War. The queen along with the Boogoossainfans fight, kill, rap, and torture the poor critters of the swamp. After the Traveler’s arm is cut off, he runs so fast that he ends up back at the beginning of time and that is where the story leaves us. |
