Local Melbourne musician Stuart Thomas (also of Kim Salmon And The Surrealists)is the founding member of The Brass Bed. No Single is the band’s two-track white vinyl recording that shifts between the noir and a sharp brass sound. No Say, which was recorded live by 3PBS at the Esplanade Hotel, is a combination of brassy elements and scratchy acoustics. No Rest for the Wicked sees Thomas tiptoe around bass-heavy sounds, swirls of horns and relies on a raw vocal style. The Brass Bed are moody, dark and interesting, and give us an insight into the talented musician Mr Thomas.
