Phil met up with BrassBed-fellow Stu Thomas in '99 when he joined Kim Salmon & The Business, breaking in with an Australia-wide tour. He was asked to join The Brass Bed and accepted. He left for a while and got busy with a whole lot of other music and teaching. Currently, Phil is the drum-man for The Stu Thomas Paradox.
He released his own trio CD called "Music Room" in 2006 (Stu did the artwork) and starred at the Apollo Music Fest '06.
Phil flies over a wide range of styles and brings to the table a deep well of ideas.
