My name is Johnny Gibson and I attend high school in the Bay Area. My cousin attends Bear Creek High School. Last weekend he came to visit and had a copy of your last issue of the school newspaper. It was the March 10, 2000 issue to be exact. I decided to take a look and see if your school newspaper was better than ours. As a matter of fact, I enjoyed reading it. However, I am writing this letter for a certain reason. There was something that caught my attention that I just read over and over. It wasn't exactly an article or an opinion page. It was the Letter to the Editor. The one where the senior said he was gay and proud of it. Well, I happen to be gay as well, and after reading that letter I realized that I shouldn't be ashamed of who I am; I should love myself no matter what. I would just like to thank you and the school newspaper; you don't how much you have helped me.Johnny Gibson
