By 1891 James and Mary were living in 10 Victoria Road Tottenham, James was working as General Labourer. They had more additions to the family by this time a daughter Lydia and 2 more sons, David and Samuel. Arthur had moved away and is listed in Deal in Kent as Royal Marine. Joseph G was a General Labourer and James A was a Florist Gardener.
Also living with them was Mary's mother Martha Staines, and living on her own means.
In the same house was a relation to Martha and Mary.

Also living with them is Martha Staines mother in law, now aged 82. James and Mary's son James A is living next door to them.
James A Head aged 26 and working as a Labourer in the coal yard.
Mary Wife age 24 and born in Hackney London. Living with their children John or James its hard to read, age 5, Arthur age 3 and Joseph age 1. All born in Tottenham.
James married Mary Ann STAINES, daughter of James STAINES and Martha UNKNOWN, in 1869 in St Mary's Henham Essex. (Mary Ann STAINES was born about 1850 in Henham Essex.)
