LOU'S COMMENTS: A great collection, of 2 fantastic & historic concerts, plus some TV bonus tracks. Great sound, from the Capitol master tapes. These recordings, plus the show from 08/29/65, were used for Capitol's 1977 release The Beatles Live At The Hollywood Bowl, which has been, out of print, for years. This CD is somewhat rendered obsolete, by Midnight Beat's 2CD set, "The Complete Hollywood Bowl Concerts 1964-1965", which has all 3 Hollywood Bowl shows & interviews. The drawback, on the Midnight Beat release, is that it's very difficult or damn next to impossible to obtain!!! Track 8 (with the intro from the 08/29/65 show) is also available on the Real Love EP single. Track 26 is also available onAnthology 1, along with This Boy & Moonlight Bay, giving owners of that CD & this one, the full "Morecame And Wise" performances. On video, Tracks 1-2 are available on The Beatles Unauthorized (Track 2 mis-titled "She Loves You", on the box). Portions of both shows are available on The Beatles Anthology, Tape 4.
